"Great product & a bargain when on special"
Great product and bargain when on special. Rechargable batteries alone wouldn't have covered the purchase price.
Two lights tell if the controllers are charging. They glow red when charging and turn green once charged. Micro USB to USB cable connects the unit directly to one of the USB ports on the XBox. XBox doesn't need to be booted to charge. It will charge as long as XBox is plugged in.
Not sure if NiMH AAs can be used as replacement batteries once the supplied rechargeables have gone beyond their life.
The only con I can think of is that when charged the BIG green button is a bit too big & bright.

"Excellent Charger"
The charge holds much better than my previous rechargeable batteries, though the charging time is twice as long, probably something to do with USB charging. Another downside is that it needs to have the controller attached to charge it, so I hope you have a backup controller for the mean time.
I got it on a daily deal special, and for the price I paid, it has been a great purchase. If it wasn't for the charge time, it would be 5 stars.
