5 stars "Well worth the price"

I was originally hesitant about buying these as they are the base model from the Turtlebeach range, base models are something I try to avoid but I must say the sound quality from these headphones has far surpassed my expectations and is simply brilliant.

I have used various other brands of headphones and these are far superior. All sounds are crisp and clear, meaning you can pick up on the subtitles of the game such as the quietest footsteps and enemies moving through the grass near you.

The microphone boom length in long and microphone is sensitive allowing you to have the boom well away from your face yet still be clearly heard by your team.

For those like me who have a limited budget but want a top quality device then I highly recommend this.

If this is the base model from Turtle Beach id love to get my hands on the wireless X41's. One day.

4 stars "Great sound!!"

I've been hearing alot of people saying that these headsets have fantastic sound quality, and it's true, I play online alot, and the games sound fantastic. The only trouble i've had with these is that it's a bit of a mission to adjust the in game volume, AND the voice volume, but I have managed to get a suitable level of sound, so it's ok. Definitely pleased I got these headphones.

5 stars "Great headset that's well worth the money!!!"

This headset it excellent! Although there are wires and the volume control can be tricky to use if playing on line, the sound quality far exceeds what I thought it would be. I bought this to replace an old Xbox360 headset (which broke fairly quickly) and the headset just feels great to wear. I was able to hear sounds that I didn't even think were in the game and the headset cuts out (nearly) all background noise. I have since fixed the volume control when playing on line and the chat sound is now perfect. When I play shooter games like COD or Bad Company 2 – the sound is great … and you can even hear the footsteps of your opponents so you have a slight edge on them.
I am so so so pleased that I bought this headset and anyone looking at getting a new headset should buy this. It's more reliable than the normal Xbox Headsets. I bought it on sale for $69.00 ($10.00 cheaper than the generic Xbox wireless headset). Would recommend this to everyone!

4 stars "Good for multiplayer"

The headset provides great audio clarity, both for chat and for game sounds. The downside is that you have to turn down the game volume to hear the chat. Not a major problem in most games. These are best for multilayer where the game sounds are almost irrelevant, and it is your team mates that you want to hear. During a campaign where you want to talk to people and play at the same time, sounds can get confusing.

4 stars "Better than the Standard Xbox headset."

If you are thinking about buying a Xbox headset and you have the choice between the Standard Xbox 360, Wireless headset and the Turtle Beach XLC, I would seriously consider buying the XLC. The main reason to buy the XLC is because it implements Stereo sound instead of the standard Mono. This means that the sound comes out of both ears. My main problem with this headset is that you cannot change the volume of the chat volume so you have to lower the game volume to hear the chat clearly. But this isn't a problem considering it cost around the same as the other to headsets. Overall this is a really good headset and it is worth the price of admission, so to say.
