"So much wasted potential"
After playing the demo, this game looked like it had everything going for it - licencing a major character and a good movie, a massive, amazingly detailed city, awesome flight and superspeed mechanics, and a genre with great games to emulate. Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Ultimate Spider-Man were both fantastic examples of the free-roaming superhero game, and this looked to be the same. However, Superman is let down by tedious, uninspired game design. The boss fights are gimmicky, which is fine, except the gimmicks are basically spelled out and you just have to repeat them over and over. The in-between missions quickly start to repeat themselves, even down to the names. The game is still fun for a short while, admittedly - who doesn't want to fly around like Superman? It just could have been so much better.
