Rock Band Ultimate Bundle - Game + Instruments reviews

Despite the long wait this is quite a good deal. $270 is well worth the enjoyment you will get out a rock band, but guitar hero world tour is also on the way and promises to have better more reliable instruments than rock bands, however it does carry a hefty $400 price tag, so unless your willing to pay the extra $130 for the improved instruments and extra features of guitar hero, this is a very good buy.

The game is great. Lots of fun with friends and family. Downside is that the guitar in the instrument bundle is actually wired as opposed to the wireless guitar advertised on the website. If you want the wireless one, you have to buy it seperately.

this is going to be epic because the instruments work on ghwt so its a good price. so happy

In comparison to Guitar Hero Rock Band is just more fun the software itself is much better and with all the dlc I would recommend this over world tour.

Awesome when you have friends around and have a jam to your favourite bands

This game is great, so much fun to play with your mates and family, hours spent playing these songs, lots of re-playability. Also plenty of new songs to download if old ones are getting tiresome

i think this game is great. its fun for the whole family to play. its also one of the best party games on the market. the only think i disliked about it it the guitar has a large raised area which sometimes gets in the way and can hurt your fingers. i give the game a 8 out of 10.

After having bought Guitar Hero: World Tour it broke so I returned it for a refund and got this and Rockband 2, best choice ever!

I had played guitar always and enjoyed it but when I got this it was straight onto the drums, and I loved it. Keep in mind I got this at the start of the year, but I still play it like it was my last day with it. On my first time playing the drums I couldn't finish a song on easy! but now I play on Expert and don't miss anything really, really enough about me but that shows how much fun I can still get out of it.

So whats the difference between this and the other music games? well Rockband unlike the others brought along the band idea, and makes you feel one with the music. Rockband stays with a fell of sleek design so you feel as if you are a kid play on a plastic instrument but an enthusiast on music.

DLC! well I'm known for DLC on this game I have 245 songs at the moment and still buying, hmm actually might get some more after this review, well Harmonix have decided to keep giving us more songs every week!

At the end of the year they will have 1000 songs for us to purchase and play, that's not including what's to come with the Rockband Network, which will let any band put there very own music in Rockband to let others play and for the band to earn a little money maybe tons of money if they have some good songs.

Ok is this game for me? so you ask yourself this and wonder so it you are any of the following this definitely for you.

So really this is a great game, Me personally I love it! and I hope you guys pick this awesome game up.

iv had the game for two days now. iv gone from guitar hero 3 to rockband and im lovin it. the guitar doesnt have the stupid ticking sound every time you strum. the solo buttons are a great feature and makes the hard solos alot easyer. the drums are so much fun to play. even though im really bad i still enjoy it. and with the full band mode it really is a game for the whole family. if you havnt played this or your thinking of buying it i really hope you do. its great.

Rockband is, simply put, one of the greatest small group games available. With all the ryhthm and fun of Guitar Hero with more than one instrument, and the ability to actually have some fun with your friends. Huge list of downloadable songs <Missing some of the greats, as they all are. Sigh> but with enough variation of Rock and even some Metal to keep everyone happy. The instruments are pretty tough, and as long as you treat them similar ‘to’ instruments should last just as well.

NB: Do not buy this if you have no friends. The trick is, to have them and /then/ buy this.

What an awesome game!, kept myself and friends up til the early morning playing it for the first time!, great that you are able to download more songs off xbox live aswell!!!

Okay after reading the reviews and the fact that it was being sold for $170 I bouhgt it straight away. It was certainly worth it, I have gone through every song in the game multiple times and am still enjoying it. But there are two awesome things about this game that must be said.

1. The amount of songs that are on offer to download, there is a massive list and most of the songs I wanted to play where on the marketplace. Including Sponge Bob for any fans out there.
2. Multiplayer, I just had my friends around last night and we were playing this till 2am it was sweet, we also played the Beatles version which I thoroughly reccomend.

But yes all in all this is a great game and anyone on the fence about buying it should hop on over and snatch it up cause it is thoroughly worth it!

Despite not being the most current game Rock band by with its awesome track list featuring the best modern music. From The Who, Metalica to The Killers and hundreds of more DLC tracks there is something for everyone. There are a lot of modes for both the soloist or the band. This bundle is perfect for parties, the family or anyone who enjoys music. Its pretty much like getting Guitar Hero, Drum Hero and Karaoke revolution in one package.
Overall a great value and solid purchase and make sure to download “Still Alive” the theme to 2007's hit game of the year Portal for free!

Rock band has a different selection of songs than that of world tour or guitar hero 5 but I find there is a larger selection of enjoyable songs to play and the gameplay much nicer on rock band. The instruments are all wired, saving on batteries, and the pack does come with a powered USB hub to connect them all up easily. Even with guitar hero 5 I still enjoy rock band more. Can't wait until Rock Band 2 is released in New Zealand

If you are “one for fun” this is for you – had played with someone elses “Rock Band”, but had to add to our “party collection” was a must!! At the price, this could not be passed up, move over Wii, our summer season begins with “Rock Band” fun for everyone.

Rock Band does a superb job of bringing out the wannabe rock star in all of us, and creates one of the best party-game experiences of all time. BUY ROCK BAND. YOU WILL LOVE IT

This Rock Band game is great fun and is definately worth buying – if you enjoy the classics and some new songs.

I think so, the drum pads seem more sensitive and lot more user friendly.

Xbox 360 rock band drums work with the guitar hero world tour drums and all the guitars work together, incase anyone wanted to know.

But! PS3 world tour drums do not work with rock band disc for PS3.

I think this game is great! but get sick of some of the songs pretty quickly.

Only the guitars will work with guitar hero world tour, because they are two competing companies they would rather their products weren't intergratable
