Much better than Overlord one. Includes a mini map and quest arrows which help you get around. Your Tower is also a lot cooler with more customization options available like upgrading your minions barracks to make them tougher in combat. The Overlord himself has had an overhaul with better spells and some cool Armour and unique weapons in the works. On the whole a huge step up from Overlord and Raising Hell just as funny and just as addictive!
Overlord!!!
Sounds kinda lame at first, but when you play… You will discover why you are
the overlord.
Imagine being able to own entire towns, but not until conquering the ruling
force in each.
Imagine hilarious side-kicks with special powers.
Imagine (although being bad) believe me or not, fighting for a good cause.
Imagine having as many mistresses as you would like.
Imagine being able to pick up where you left off forgetting you ever stopped
playing.
Imagine the…
Stop imagining and buy this game!
It is very seldom you get games now days that make you gufor and cackle out loud. This will do it. It takes the ‘mickey’ out of greenie, superpowers, fable 2 even itself, which often only people outside the USA can click to. Don't let the reviews from these american sites put you off, this is a solid action/rpg/strategy game BUT its stars are the minions, they break stuff, wee on things, club seals and generally let you feel "quazi-evil'.
It has its issues with camera control and sometimes the AI goes pear shaped but overall a great experience both online and solo.
It's not often a sequal out performs the original game, but Overlord II is a rare exception. It takes all the memorable aspects from the first game and doubles the humour and fun! Also included in Overlord II is that most prized feature of any successful RPG: The Minimap!
Had Loads of FUN with the kids playing this game, great graphics, nice colours not harsh on the eye.Good to see a game with action & humour one kids and adults can enjoy without being graphic.Id say give it ago and you will enjoy it,one of the rare games to come in under the radar
When I first started playing this game I was a little confused with the
gameplay and with what the idea of the game was however after spending some time
on it I began to enjoy it.
After a while the controles begin to easy up and you start to experience some of
of the good aspectes of the game, I found alot of the humer to be very
entertaining and customising my lair was very enjoyable.
Also, the multiplayer was a good addition to the first
Im 16 years old and when I bought this I was very sceptical about buying what I thought might have been a kids game but after playing I found this is not at all a push over, some parts can be very challenging.
There really isnt any other game where you can conqure the world, customise your lair, and make minions attack baby seals so for these reasons, it gets 4 stars
Far easier to play than the first one, it'll have you hooked. And like other people said, when you need a break you can come back like you never left.
Full of fantastically, cool evilness and all the tools of a slightly more impish Sauron, this is the best magic-suppressing, Empire destroying game you'll play till the next one.
And hey, lets face it, where else can you club uber-cute seals without repercussions!
Hasn't really improved much since the last game, and has some flaws that will really get on your nerves but I still managed to enjoy it.
After the first game being so good I was expecting a pretty decent game in
it's sequel but I was surprised as to how much the game could, and has been
improved.
With new mounts for minions offering even more carnage and spells for the
overlord himself to use it has really opened up gameplay a lot.
The game itself is seriously funny, with violence towards magical creatures and
comic one liners coming from the minions make this game a joy to play.
Graphics are usual for this kind of game but I would happily exchange gameplay
for pretty video any day (not that there is anything wrong with the
graphics).
In general, a worthy addition to anyones game collection.
t's good. If you're a fan of Ghostbusters (and maybe even Ghostbusters 2), that's all you needed to know, so you can go out and grab your copy without worrying that you'll have to tread through bad game mechanics just to get a few good laughs. If for some reason you're a newcomer to the franchise, that's OK too. Ghostbusters The Video Game is a humorous and amusing third-person action-adventure with some clever mechanics and loads of personality. It's not all pleasurable, due to some tedious mechanics and other issues, but if what's most important to you is some lighthearted fun, then you'll find enough in this package to keep a smile on your face.
