"Simulation Excellence"
Simulation basketball masterpiece,NBA 2k9 has all you expect for a simulation basketball game.
The Main game is graphically beautiful, the players react as there real life counterparts equipped with custom shot, dunk/layup and even movement animation, game play is as real as you want to make it with all playbook and the game even reacts to your tendencies.

The Online capabilities are amazing with a great Team up feature dealing with the simplicity of basketball and a real team environment. A great buy for any true basketball fan

"Simply best nba game on the market... for now."
2k10 is a better game. nba live is for people who are novice gamers as live is a more 'arcady' game and less skill required to play.
2k10 (or 2k9) is harder to play at first, but once u master it, seriously thers no comparasin.

i played nba live 09 for about 5months, played it for hours everyday, masterd it and it bacame too easy nd repeditive. (ie. pick and roll slam dunk)

i finally brought 2k9 from mighty ape was very difficult for the first week

now ive been playing everyday for about 3months, im loving it, cant get enough of it and the thing is, every week i learn something new to add to my game, along with downloadable custom rosters like "1999-2000 rosters, and retro jerseys incl etc all for free and u can play with jordan and co and face all their compeditors in that era in a season mode etc..

2k games are gold. seriously, id pay 3x as much for a 2k game than a live basketball game

"Worth a second look"
At this price this game is worth considering to any sports fan.
Play against your mates, the AI or online - there is a game mode to suit everyone. The slam dunk and three point competition are personal favourites. Finally the chance to play like Lebron James. See you on the court......

"Amazing Graphics and great gameplay"
I only got this recently but I can safely say that at $35 it is definatly worth the buy. Although you can sometimes get lost browsing through the menus, there are just so many modes to chose from including the new NBA Blacktop which is similar to NBA Live's All-Star Weekend with dunk and 3pt shootout contests. I would rate this game 9/10.
