4 stars "Limited Edition"

Halo Reach Limited Edition is not for the “average” gamer, but more for all knowing fans. If you're a die hard Halo fan then maybe consider the Legendary Edition but Bungie estimates that it could cost $200+. I'm an all knowing halo fan on the verge of Halo crazy but I'm sticking to Legend due to the fact that the difference between the two is a few dolls and an online ability.

5 stars "An amazing amount of variety"

Halo: Reach is shaping up to be a fitting finale to Bungie's Halo saga. Although certainly not the last in the franchise, it is for Bungie last and they're certainly planning on going out with a bang.
The Single Player looks to be captivating and action packed, with the amazing amount of variety in gameplay that the Halo series is well known for. The Covenant look threatening on their weapons lethal. All in all, an exciting experience.
Multiplayer is where the game really shines, especially in the customability in your armour and, with the addition of Forge World, the maps you play on. This ensures a ton of replay value, enough to keep you playing for years to come.
For a price less than Modern Warfare 2's release RRP, this is really a game you cannot afford to miss out on.

"WOW well done Bungee!"

Wow what a prequel. Was very impressed at how much they put into this game as far as weapons, Armour and vehicles were concerned. For instance; you now have the option of playing as a female, changing your voice and customizing your Armour pieces to make your spartan fully unique. Not to mention the wide variety of new weapons like the ‘DMR’ which is a human single shot rifle that packs a punch and the needle rifle, capable of ripping through shields. They have introduced Armour abilities into the game, which you pick up much the same as equipment. Except they give you cool feats such as ‘sprint’ for a burst of speed, ‘Armour lock up’ for temporary immunity and my personal fave, ‘Jet Pack’ which is self explanatory. Multiplayer is great too, I was glad to see that they have brought back Ascension! They have also greatly improved the ‘Forge’ world, making it so much easier to create your own map. Campaign was pretty good too with the new ‘Assassination’ trick, useful against elites which are much smarter now and tend to avoid danger, yet another thing making this game so great. In my opinion don't waste any more time, if you're a halo fan then look no further, well done Bungee, 5/5 great job!

If you are a true fan of the Halo Realm then it is definately worth it to spend that little extra, the Black Box is full of information that opens your eyes to so much more and makes everything click.

5 stars "Story, Forge, Firefight and Multiplayer=Awesome!"

The story is going to grab you by the neck, bring you up and then drop you down again and again! We can finally find out what happend before everything else.

Forge is fantastic with the huge map and amount of new tools and areas to explore. Everything that made making maps in Halo 3 has been taken out and replaced by great tools.

Firefight now has versus, attack your spartan friend with the help of some funny grunts!!! Firefight is now completly customizable, you can evn change what type of enemies come at you!

Multiplayer, after playing the beta I know for a FACT that this is good, evry thing bad has been removed and armor ablities make online twice has fun.

5 stars "Reach is Epic!"

Everything has a beginning and an end, This game exceeds expectations, but also is a nice way to close out the series of halo games, by understanding what happened prior to the discovery of Halo 1, I cant wait to see what Bungie comes up with next.

4 stars "Fun beyond the game"

The Halo reach limited edition is awesome – not only did I get the very last bungi created Halo (as far as I'm aware), but it came with all this really cool stuff – iron on patches, pass key, Dr Halsey's journal which a really interesting read for me (I love the books the story is awesome). Even contained in an ONI black box!! looks cool!! This edition is definately a great one for Halo enthusiasts, great price too… Don't think I'll actually be using the iron patch though ....... Bit too cheesy .....

"Reach is what a shooter should be one gunfight to the next"

As a campaign diehard I was a little disappointed at how short the campaign was, simply because the Halo series has been the most epic game on XBOX ever but the story is still true to the series. And for those who love your online action there's no doubt that Reach will take up hours and hours of time you should be studying or working but in no way is it a waste of time enjoy.

5 stars "Just Fantastic"

Halo Reach is literally what the first Halo game (Halo Combat Evolved) intended to be. Combat Evolved. This game takes halo to a whole new dimension with it's beautifully crafted setting, to it's wonderful and sad story line.

The gameplay is what you would normally expect from a Halo game so getting back into it isn't that hard, the controls are easy to pick up (even my mother worked out the controls). But what truly astounded me was the space combat which I was to be honest a bit effy about but once I had a go I was hooked.

The Story is flawless, fans finally get to understand the true extent of what happened before Halo CE and how Reach fell. The characters in the game are just amazing, my favourite character is Jorge, he is so lovable.

Multiplayer is a whole new experience, with extensive forging and new* firefight options Halo Reaches multiplayer takes you on a pretty brilliant path of destruction. Your custom character is the same character you control in the campaign which to me makes this game just that much more personal. The new armory allows you to fully create your own spartan but however lacks the same ability to do so for the Elites.

So if you're still wondering whether or not to buy Halo Reach then yes I would highly recommend it just because you don't need to play halo 1,2,3,ODST,WARS, to understand the story because well this is where the legend began.

Still not convinced? Then check out Youtube for videos or even visit the Bungie website www.bungie.net

5 stars "The man"

This game is the man. Awesome multiplayer, and campaign. The limited edition is packed full of other goodies which is a great deal for the price. But I would only recommend if you are into the Halo fiction. Really happy with it.

"Everything a Halo fan wants, under one roof!."

Bungie's final installment to the Halo franchise. Halo Reach, set before the events of Halo one follows the heriocs of an elite team of Spartans. Noble Team. This game is the culmination of everything great about Halo. The newly improved multiplayer, firefight, forge mode and epic storyline…awesome!. I played the beta, amazing visuals and game play. Halo Reach limited edition includes many interesting extras including the most up to date records of Doctor Halsey's ( The brains behind the spartan program.) journal. Definitely a game worth getting!.

5 stars "Best Halo game Bungie created!"

Ever since Halo Reach was announced last year December, i got really excited about this and it is looking pretty awesome!
I played the beta straight away after it was released and it was damn awesome!
I would like to say that Bungie has created the best Halo game i ever seen after announcing all the very cool details througout the year about the enhanced multiplayer, epic campaign and etc.
I hope this will not be the last Halo game in the series because i believe there will be more Halo titles to come in the near future.

Rating = 5/5

Pros

  • Graphics are better than Halo 3, can run at 720p!
  • Firefight looks better and improved and also add in matchmaking support
  • Remake multiplayer maps
  • Epic campaign
  • Armor abilities!!
