5 stars "Awesome"

I don't want to bore you with details but there are two things you should know!

  1. Firefight, if you loved Gears 2 horde mode you'll love this!
  2. Halo: Reach Beta. Face it, you're buying it 'cos you love Halo, getting into the Halo: Reach Beta is fantastic value.

Why should anyone else who hasn't played this game get it? Quite simply Bungies gameplay is 2nd to none. Theres a reason why the average playtime over 10 million copies of Halo 3 is 100 hours!

5 stars "Going to be epic"

Firstly if you have played halo 3 you will already know of bungies amazing work. ODST is going to be the next best thing since sliced bread. I cant wait to play it. With fire fight and the onloine gameplay that I know is going to awesome, Halo 3 ODST is going to offer the same awesome gameplay that halo 3 did.

4 stars "Great game, could have used multiplayer search functions."

It's an expansion to Halo 3 more than a game in its own right in my opinion. However being an ODST means you can't blindly charge at enemies like you could in Halo 3.

I prefer the new game style, but then again I was pretty cowardly in Halo 3.

The controller is pretty – but it's really just a novelty. I think if you are considering this game the special edition doesn't offer much more than the original.

All in all, it's a great game and worth having in your Xbox360 collection. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because you can't multiplayer search for firefight companions. It seems like it would have been pretty easy for them to just incorporate the multiplayer functionality form Halo 3 into it :S

5 stars "Definitly NOT just an expansion for Halo 3!"

I was apprehensive to buy this at first, I already had Halo 3 so I was buying this pack to take advantage of the relatively cheap game/controller combo, now i am glad my old controller was getting past it because it lead me to one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time.

Fans of the Halo Series will love this, and people who thought that Bungie had lost their way after Halo 1 will be pleasantly surprised by the way the OSDT team has brought back some of the features that made the original game fun. Sniping pistols, health that doesn't just come all the way back and what sometimes feels like an infinite number of enemies make for some exciting game-play and the voice acting cast and war-torn city make for a very atmospheric environment.

While it may be over quickly, you will come back to this either on your own or with a group of friends.

5 stars "Mighty Ape you rock!!!"

Mighty Ape really impressed me with their service and was a great help. I will absolutely use them again especially seeing that they stock a lot of great goodies.

i was told that halo 3 odst was not able to be purchased from jb hi-fi, eb games, gamesman and a whole lot of other places as pre orders had consumed the national quota. i found Mighty Ape online and was able to pick up my copy on the day the game was released. i could have had it delivered right to my door in palmerston north but i was in auckland that week anyway, besides it gave me the chance to see their headquarters. man they got lots of cool stuff.

Mighty Ape you were a life saver and i look forward to dealing with you again and again. thank you sooo much

5 stars "Epic Deal"

This game is awesome and the graphics are jaw dropping.
Its story line immerses you into the ODST style using tactics to overcome powerful enemies instead of just plain old headbutting your way through the campaign.
Also the controller looks awesome and the detail on it is excellent.
A must buy considering you get the controller cheaper than retail value as well.

5 stars "This is my thought's on the whole "Halo" experience"

We all know Halo has been an excellent game from the beggining. When Halo hit the shelf, it brought alot of people towards Xbox because of this great game. Now for the people who finished Halo: Combat Evolved wanted more, and we got it. Halo 2. Carried on the awesome story-line of Halo: Combat Evolved. Bungie also added their first online multiplayer for people to enjoy the full experience of Xbox Live. Then Halo 3, bringing hopefully not the last of the Master Chief experience, but a great story-line once again to end The Flood, and stop the Halo from firing. Also bringing back more multiplayer to keep the Halo experience going. Now here's Halo 3: ODST. Looking, and sounding very promising. It sounds like alot of people are looking foward to the whole new Campaign, Firefight, Halo: Reach BETA, and of course, the last three maps of the Mythic Map Pack. I'm looking foward to this game, and I really can't wait until launch! ;D

5 stars "Excellent, really good game, great Camapign"

This game was really well done. The campaign is great, a great new twist to the classic Halo 3. Firefight is mint, good fun to do with friends and a good challenge. Great replay-ability. If your a fan of Halo it's a must have

5 stars "A must for all halo fans!"

I have always been a Halo fan and will no doubt be one for many years to come. My copy of Halo 3 has been punished since the day i got it. Every Halo game that has been released i have considered a must have for my collection. I even bought Halo Wars, and i dont like that sort of game. It was Halo so i bought it and played it anyway.

ODST will no doubt be an epic adventure and entertain me for many many hours. I look forward to the campaign mode, will spend alot of hours with friends playing multi-player.

Thank you Mighty Ape for being there for us die hard gamers. I look forward to receiving my copy of the collectors edition from you. 12 days and counting down!!!

5 stars "Foaming at the mouth"

If you have played Halo 3, then you know full well already that this is going to be just as good, if not even better! From what we have been shown, from videos and pictures, it looks intense, and all i can say is that I'm foaming at the mouth with anticipation, i even considered upgrading my TV to get the full benefit of the graphics! As for the price, well look at the basic controllers price in the shops, can't even begin to compare this deal. Snap it up now before they are all gone, this green controller will be a great addition to my Halo console as you cannot buy the green halo controllers ANYWHERE.

5 stars "Brilliant!"

Halo 3 : ODST looks brilliant!
The Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, the coolest looking soldiers ever designed (apart from Spartans of course). From their high-tech multi-sensory blue visors to their shiny black boot buckles, these guys have been kitted out with some of the sickest armour, weapons and gadgets we've seen.
Unlike Halo 3, The majority of the game is set at night, this is a big difference and comes with some challenges, but luckily you'll get a little help with them. For example, an awesome visor called the ‘VISR’ will help you out with it's multiple uses including what looks like sonar waves that emit from the helmet and will make it easy for you to distinguish between friend and foe, but also will help to see in the darkest of places with the night vision ability.
Halo 3: ODST looks great and I wouldn't be surprised if it outsells it's predecessor, Halo 3. The artists have spent a lot of time making the game look similar, as it still does use the same game engine, but better than Halo 3, obviously making the ODST's look a lot more important and ‘shiny’ was a key factor in the visual aspects of the game.
As for the LIMITED COLLECTOR'S EDITION controller, this is a great price and as it is “limited” it's likely that if you don't get the collectors before everyone else, you're gonna miss out.
So I suggest that you order a copy of Halo 3: ODST limited Collectors Edition right now, either for yourself or a great gift for, well, anyone who has an Xbox 360!

3 stars "Looks Alright"

So far this game looks to be good in terms of fleshing out some of the storylines in the Halo universe. Graphics are only a little better than Halo 3 and the gameplay looks identical, the fact that silenced weapons are included is a little change of tact but overall it won't change the gameplay that much.

The health system from previous Halo's is gone as you are no longer in a power armour suit so health pickups become integral and taking the cautious routes or tactically picking enemies off will be key.

The big sweetener to buying this game is the access to the Halo:Reach beta. Which is short on details and long on anticipation.
