Dead Island

An open world, 4 player drop-in, drop-out, (friends can join and leave your world whenever they want to without disturbing your game) co-op zombie slaughtering game. It combines the best elements of games like borderlands (the leveling up, and class system), dead rising (zombies and using whatever weapons you can make or get your hands on), while also having an amazing story line. What more could you want!- For a new series, I for one am really excited about it!

This game is so amazing, the graphics are just stunning and the controls are easy to master and easy to cause so much devastation to the zombies.
I would recommend this to all zombie game lovers.
Also the few glitches and bugs that were present in the game were quickly patched up.

I'm sure we've all seen the release trailer for this game, (if you haven't youtube it, it's fantastic, easily ranked in the Top 10 trailers of all time).
So after seeing this cinematic masterpiece I entered the game full of warm-fuzzies, excited to chop up some zombies.
First problem is the annoying/confusing menu system… How to start a single player game- How to do multiplayer… How- how-
For those who are interested, you automatically play this game by your self, ONLINE, with anyone being able to join your game at any point…
All menu niggles aside, the game play is quite fun at first, but quickly becomes tiring and repetitive. The open world , story , quest driven idea is pretty much like games such as Fable. You can do every quest, or just do crucial mission related ones.
There is not to much diversity amongst characters, Guns and Knives are way to overpowered. And the main story is relatively short.
Don't get me wrong, this would be fun with friends, with mics, playing occasionally, but this is no Mass Effect, Red Dead, or GTA.

Rent it first and see if you like it.

Not as great or enjoyable as I anticipated but was overall a good game. Single player functions easily and playing menus are easy to navigate in-fact I'm not sure why some reviews say menus and play-through types are hard to sift through any average joe could easily pick it up in the first 30 minutes.
controls are easy to remember and multiplayer is easy to manage even without a top-notch connection

recommended for casual gamers that enjoy a good zombie apocalypse.

Very huge Zombie gamer here and i'm pretty sure everyone one that loves zombie games agrees thats Dead Island is a must have for the year SO KEEP ON KICKING THOSE ZOMBIES BUTTS zombie lovers!!!
