Dance Central

I ran to a store and bought an xbox console + kinect bundle and Dance Central this morning. I've used it for more exercise minutes (and burnt more calories) in one day with Dance Central compared to Wii Fit for two years.

Dance Central is a great way to workout if you love to dance. The workout mode asks for your weight and judges your calories burned by how much you're moving.

The dance battles are a fun way to practice a song with a friend – and the only way to leap into harder difficulties before unlocking them in single play.

I really like the way you choose a song and then choose what mode you play it in. You can easily play in different ways without any hassle. For example, you could start with a dance battle, then perform solo, then break it down to learn moves – all without having to quit out to a menu.

Dance Central is obviously well designed. I'm just hoping for more pop and disco songs to be released for download, as the track list is quite hip-hop intensive.

I was lucky enough to try out Dance Central at Armageddon.

As a person who enjoys dancing at parties, it was a ton of fun, and easy to get into the disco track I chose. It felt very rewarding to play, because it seemed to rate my movements appropriately. Seeing a sped-up replay of my freestyle dancing was hilarious!

It feels very free to dance without any controllers in your hands. The dancing can look really impressive to onlookers. People cheered and applauded my performance. It was such a good workout too. Just one song can really get your blood pumping.

If I had an Xbox 360, I would buy a kinect just for this game. It's totally worth it.

This game looks to be very very good. This is a must buy for me for my teenage daughter and her friends. I am really excited to hopefully have another game to keep them entertained. Plus the intoxicated adults :)

Finally, a dancing game that will actually teach you some moves!! If you can't dance (ie. hopeless dancer like I am), then this is made for you. If you're a great dancer, then try it on HARD and I'll bet you will still have a great challenge.

Great collection of songs – really helps you to get into the beat. Ranges from pop, rock to hip hop.
Also great party entertainer with ‘battle mode’.

Navigating the game also utilises the best parts of Kinect.

All in all – it was money well spent!

Much better than using those mats they, which was really like not dancing at all, but only following steps on a mat. With Kinect Dance central your accually dancing, and it's watching your moves, making dancing games so much fun. Seems Kinect is the best medium for these games. If you like dancing games you need Kinect and this game. I only gave it 4 stars are the music selection could have been better.
