5 stars "CoD Black Ops 2 Breakdown"

With the campaign time setting being 13 years in the future. The technology/weaponry and how the general warfare is carried out can become a lot more “flexible”. Whether or not this pushes Black Ops 2 too far over the edge into some sci-fi FPS instead of having the feel of the rest of the Call Of Duty series I'm not quite sure. But we will soon find out. Also its confirmed to be a direct lead on to the Black Ops 1 Storyline.

Now I've never been one to sit down and play the single player campaign, I'm more competitive multiplayer man. And when it comes to that it sounds as though Treyarch has done it extremely well. All of the weapons I've seen seem balanced compared to one another (eg. You can shoot people through solid walls with a sniper however it requires you to charge a shot first) Also with countdown timers in LAN games and and whole lot of other small features competitive play looks like its going to get alot more interesting. With Elite 2.0 coming out and also rumors of possible BO2 MLG tournaments, the future is hopeful.

BRAINS!!! Whoops I mean zombies… Hordes and hordes of zombies. Treyarch has succesfully made us hunger for more and it looks as if Black Ops 2 is going to do more than quench that thirst. With an optimised zombies, it means up to 8 player zombies and alot more zombies. Treyach hasnt stopped there though. They have a full sized team developing the Zombies part of the game and its FULLY integrated into the multiplayer engine. With unique gamemodes such as 4 v 4 score based zombies to be one. There will always be more ways to play. Also the maps seem alot more open so it wont be as easy to get stuck on a chair or in a doorway. On the topic of maps the smallest zombies map on BO2 is said to be larger that EVERY BO1 zombies map. So it sounds awesome.

All in all I would say its going to have its ups and downs like every CoD game. But as always there's plenty of ways to play and the game will be very re-playable. I can guarantee I will get this game and you should too.

1 stars "Save your money"

After so much anticipation and playing the game in the Campaign which cuts to sequences in the best parts removing any excitement on completing a level. The multiplayer is even worse- Treyarch need to realise that they have just recreated Modern Warfare 3's annoying Multiplayer set up. What a dissapointing game- They have removed the ability to Combat Train and hone some basic skills before getting wasted by the American on cocaine.
I imagine that after 2 weeks everyone will be going back to the first Black Ops to play what was a fair platform for players of different skill to meet. Now, if you are mediocre, you will be teamed up with and against someone mediocre.
Save your money.

3 stars "Average"

So I have one plus for this game, the campaign. Treyarch really stepped up their game this time in the respects of the campaign, with some really cool additions such as the customise class ability before a mission and the shock missions.

Zombies is average, and different to the old slightly. I was hoping the 8 player maps would be insanely large with a great number of areas to go. I was hoping the games would go for hours, but I was bitterly disappointed. The maps we're tiny, with very few areas. Although I do have one plus from Zombies. TranZit mode was fun when you played with friends, trying to catch the bus in time, and running after it frantically was always a good laugh.

Now to the part I was most looking forward to, the multiplayer. HORRIBLE. Thats the word I would use to describe it. I wish Treyarch would have learnt from past mistakes. They really need to fix the match making system as sometimes even though I was told I had lots of possible games to join, I couldn't join any. I know this is not fault of my internet as I have extremely fast internet. Also I know I am not the only one experiencing this problem. Even though the game is only two days in, with all the beta testing, I would have expected them to balance the guns. While most guns are overpowered, the rest are underpowered. There is no middle. Also, the fact that once you get shot, there is no chance to get away, loses your chance of gaining a long killstreak.

Overall, I am bitterly disappointed Treyarch, you could have done better. Yet I still find myself buying a season pass just to see what they do with zombies. I am still yet deciding whether spending 140$ on the hardened edition was the right choice; although the case and stuff that came with it is insane.

So for all these reasons I give it 3 stars. 1 more star than I gave MW3, so Treyarch won that war.

4 stars "Very different game."

This game is great!
I got the game on release and I love it.
The campaign for this game is awesome in the fact you can pick different paths to go during it and there are just some great scenes throughout the game!

BUT, I am a multiplayer person and the multiplayer in this is just awesome.
There are your usual OP guns (SMG's with Silencers, Laser, Fast reload Laser increases hip fire Accuracy) and those people annoy me, but whats C.O.D. Without that-
The scorestreaks of the game are great. It is not based on kills to get ‘Killstreaks’ but instead they are scorestreaks, for example, if you play Domination (game mode where you capture and hold three flags locations to win) you get 50 score for a kill, but if you kill someone when you are defending an objective you get 100 or 150 score for the kill, so overall you get rewarded for playing the objective. The scorestreak rewards are done in score so a UAV is : 425 score. So if you get a capture of a flag and kill a couple people you will get the UAV, but if you were to camp somewhere you would need to kill 9 people.

Zombies! The zombies in this is very unique, there are different gamemodes. If you really liked the survival mode for BO1 (normal zombies) then you may be dissapointed with the ones in BO2, you are stuck in a small-ish area where you can not buy too many doors and go adventuring but you have to survive in a set area.

Tranzit, on the other hand is an awesome mode where you travel on a bus to diffrent stops where you can buy guns, unlock doors, build stuff. And much more. It is an awesome game mode, in my opinion, and can be quite a challenge.

Well, I enjoy the game and alot of people seem to hate on it, but if you enjoy the COD series then why not-
