As referenced in the title, this digitally re-mastered CD represents the ultimate anthology from New Zealand's best-loved '70s pop / rock band…

For a few brief years at the turn of the ‘70s into '80s decade, Th’ Dudes were the hottest band in the land and these tracks are testament to their songwriting and performance ability. Dave Dobbyn, Ian Morris, Peter Urlich, Lez White and Bruce Hambling made up this determined bunch of young rockers who were surely destined to make the big time. They certainly deserved to score international success, but didn't (although Dobbyn did later). Th' Dudes however were local heroes and could be guaranteed to give full-on live perfomances and provide good catchy radio rock numbers to keep us all happy (including the Westie Auckland anthem, “Bliss”).

This is some of the best pop/rock music to come out of this country and it sounds as good today as it did back then (actually, even better with the remastering!). The highly informative booklet also makes for good reading. ‘Where Are The Girls’ is an essential part of New Zealand's musical history.
