4 stars "Working and cheap"

The hard drive works as expected. On both Windows and Linux. It does not come with any software, but it is not needed. Works right out of the box. The wire connection is not the best and could disconnect easily as some reviewer on other sites complained. However, it was not an issue for me (since I only connect/disconnect rarely).

Could not get SMART status for this drive, so no real early warning if it is about to die. Being USB 3.0 makes transfer really fast. Over USB 2.0 it is fine too. Pretty silent and cool. I like the external design.

5 stars "Worked perfectly straight out of the box."

No problems were found with the device. It was immediately used to backup a laptop, which it did perfectly. The drive was in constant use for over an hour without getting excessively hot. Only used at USB2 speed.

4 stars "Dodgy connection"

Hard Drive works as expected mostly.
I put the Hard Drive and cable in my bag, never play rough with the bag. Pulled it out and the Hard Drive end of the cable was bent. The actual Hard Drive is fine, Just not the cable it comes with. So now it sometimes disconnects and I have to wriggle the hard drive end of the cable around to work.
I took the cable in to a computer repair shop and they sadly don't recognise or have any of those cables.
A cap would do the trick protecting the port, if you could find one the right size.
