The "von Slatt Original" Keyboard

This keyboard is similar to Jake von Slatt's original design. It features a black felt faceplate, chrome keys, and a polished brass frame left unvarnished so it will develop a deep, rich patina as it ages.

Many of the secondary keys featured on this keyboard were customized to a particular client's tastes, but a more standardized version with English ‘shift’, ‘enter’, ‘ctrl’ keys, etc, is available.

Clicky mechanical keyboards, with their Cherry MX switches and robust base units, can be considered a form of keyboard fetishism, but Datamancer's Richard Nagy takes “paraphrenalic technofetishism” to new heights with his custom Victorian computer mods with a steampunk twist.
