I was sceptical in buying this and to be truthful only bought it because of being a fan of the television series. I was pleasantly surprised I am a first person through and through but this game is so different that it was actually like being in a movie more than playing a game. If you remember growing up with “pick a path” books this game is for you, your choices influence how the game plays out. 5 Chapters in all to go through I personally was left wanting more. A great game, and for $50 bucks a bargain. I say well done and you can see why it was the game of the year winner.

Walking Dead deserves all the credit it has been getting for an engrossing story and a great spin on the point and click adventures some of us grew up with.

Sadly, it suffers from a particular game breaking bug which has yet to be rectified. That being, a bug that wrecks the continuity of the game from episode to episode, not carrying over the choices you made. In a game which prides itself on quick decision making, I was horribly let down after finishing a stunning first Episode, and then starting the 2nd Episode only to hear a character discuss how another character was talking about pies – ONLY THAT HE DIED IN MY VERSION OF EVENTS.

A quick check on the internet showed that this was not just a bug I experienced, but one that caused plenty of people to put the game down and wait for a fix, that from my knowledge, has yet to happen.

Do yourself a favour, forgo the PC version and get the console version if you have one – those are apparently bug free.

Amazing game which is quite different than others. You have to think fast to survive from the Walkers and is like seeing a film rather than a game. But it is still entertaining with the variety of choices you make and the outcomes.
