The Smurfs is just delightful. My daughter loved it and it has been played time after time. I rather enjoyed it too!
The reviews all slammed this movie, but growing up with the animated series I was suprised at how well the Smurfs moved to CGI. I thought the characters were well represented, especially Gargamel who was just how I remember him. My (street savvy) 14 year old son and I both thought it was quite a good story line, clever blend of CGI Smurfs and real actors. Overall a cute, fun and often funny movie for the whole family.
The Smurfs
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours – in fact, smack bang in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
