Two CD collection from George Shearing. George Shearing will forever be remembered as not only one of Britain's greatest Jazz musicians but as a key figure in the history of the genre as a whole. His early smooth urbane sound, characterised by originals such as ‘Consternation’ and the legendary 'Lullaby of Birdland, as well as his pioneering exploration of latin sounds and rhythms in the 1950's, have left an indelible mark on the Jazz landscape and the best songs from both of those periods are included on this compilation.
