"A practical self help guide for staying in love."
5 stars"

"Standing in Love is what this book is all about. Addressing the frustrations and disappointments together until acceptance is reached is an act of great love”

This book is a thought provoking and well crafted "how to” and exercise book for couples to read and practice together. But even reading it alone must make a huge difference to each of us our life journeys.

"Becoming Soul Mates” is the foundation for a long and good relationship. "You want a close loving relationship, you need good sex. You want lots of good sex; you need an intimate loving relationship.”

This not a sex manual, but Robyn passionately and carefully examines issues such as gender differences, sex as a ‘performance’, initiating sex, masturbation, developing sexuality, differing libidos, and sex toys.

Sex addiction and pornography, affairs and other infidelities are examined in their affect on relationships in a caring and thought provoking way.

No book on love and sexuality would be complete without sections on loss of sexual desire, ageing, and sexual health – all of which are given Robyn's compassionate view.

Most of all I would describe this book as a holistic view of relationships with that special other person in your life. It is a series of short chapters, easy to read and understand with practical examples and points to talk about together.

And as Robyn so eloquently states, "Some of us dance on the inside, some on the outside. Use this book to discover and develop the joy of dancing with someone you love” I recommend this to those who are fresh in love, or been together for ever, and for those who counsel them.

Description

Sex is not something people discuss much in New Zealand. We don't often hear conversations about what couples are doing to keep their relationship strong and alive. We often hear complaints about partners' inadequacies or announcements of relationships ending.

There is no one right way to build a healthy, happy sexual relationship. It's a living ongoing process that takes place through many interactions and conversations over time as you learn to know each other and how to be together.

This book is designed as a manual to guide you through a process. Each of the brief chapters will not take long to read. They're designed as conversation starters to provide information about the many aspects of building a lasting, happy sexual relationship. At the end of each chapter are some discussion points and a case study to illustrate the issue under consideration.
