The Hound Of The Baskervilles
Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles launched Basil Rathbone and
Nigel Bruce as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, the most famous detective pairing
of all! Dr. Mortimer (Lionel Atwill) comes to Holmes and Watson with a frightful
tale: since an ancestor's brutal kidnapping of a village girl, the Baskerville
family is cursed, doomed to die at the teeth of an infernal, spectral hound. The
latest to go, Sir Charles, was a friend of Mortimer's, and the elderly doctor
wants Holmes' help in preventing the same fate from befalling his son Henry
Baskerville (Richard Greene). Holmes must uncover if the danger is a myth or
very real indeed.
The Voice Of Terror
Mysterious wireless broadcasts, apparently from Nazi Germany, are heard over the
BBC. They warn of acts of terror in England just before they take place.
Baffled, the Defence Committee's “Inner Council”, led by Sir Evan Barnham
(Reginald Denny), solicits the help of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes.
For the sake of England's security, Holmes turns to London's underworld for
assistance to uncover the covert Nazi clique and makes a startling revelation
about a secret within the Council itself!
