SSX is a natural progression from the other four major titles in the series, developing on what SSX fans know and love. The same unreal tricks, speed and landscape are still here—but now set on a world stage, with influences from man–made structures and (deadly) natural elements.
Everything in this game is more ridiculous than ever, from tricking of the heli, to flying hundreds of metres with a wingsuit to dropping into pitch–black caves at 200kph… The entertainment factor and room for expansion in your riders is jam–packed, with mods, gear, boards, suits and a level system, but what really sets this game apart from the rest is the difficulty…
I didn't have much trouble with the other titles in the series, but this new SSX is legitimately hard. You won't be able to breeze through any event you want, you'll need to level up your riders, and your skill level if you want to get the platinum, which is a welcome change.
If you like any of the SSX games, or just like snowboarding—get it; and get all your friends to get it—there's a great ghost system for challenging rivals.
