Resistance: Fall Of Man is a gripping first-person action game developed
exclusively for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Set in a
frightening, alternate 20th century reality, Resistance: Fall Of Man capitalizes
on PlayStation 3’s superior processing power to deliver a thoroughly
believable world that blends epic military action and unnerving horror.
Utilizing its signature creative style, Insomniac Games has created a truly
next-generation experience featuring smarter enemies, a wide variety of

detailed, diverse environments. Players will be challenged online and offline as
Resistance: Fall of Man delivers an engaging single player campaign, a
co-operative mode and one of the most complete multiplayer offerings in a

In Resistance: Fall of Man, the U.S. and Britain band together in a
last-ditch effort to save Europe and Asia from a horrific scourge. In mere
decades, the Chimera – a species of unknown origin propagating a virus that
converts other life forms into more Chimera – has overrun Russia and all of
Europe. Humanity’s hope for survival is slim, and the tide of the battle
rests on the shoulders of U.S. Army Ranger, Sgt. Nathan Hale.
Resistance 2
Resistance 2 transports players across the Atlantic to a besieged 1950s America
where it builds on Fall of Man’s legacy. There will be bigger battles,
spectacular landscapes and an even more gripping narrative told from
Hale’s perspective – alongside an unprecedented online eight-player
co-operative mode in which players meet to tackle specially-designed campaigns
together.
The Resistance story continues to unfurl with protagonist Sergeant Nathan
Hale. Having destroyed the London command centre of the invading alien Chimera,
Hale returns to the United States where he becomes part of a special programme
known as the Sentinels – a secret weapon against the Chimera assault that the
US government knows is imminent. When the Chimera launch a full-scale aerial
assault on both coasts, Hale and the Sentinels find themselves in the forefront
of the counter-attack.
The game’s multiplayer modes are also set to make a huge impact in the
gaming world. Co-operative play, where players team up to tackle a campaign, can
often feel constrained in levels designed for single players. Not so with
Resistance 2, where squads can undertake a fully independent online campaign
built specifically for co-operative play – a feature that demonstrates
developer Insomniac Games’ commitment to online gaming. The large scale
battles are combined with levels that are designed to be slightly different each
time you play. Up to eight players can join forces to face the Chimera together
while choosing from three distinct class types. Players can also look forward to
vast 60-person online battles in which players join squads with distinct
battlefield objectives and fight it out on PLAYSTATION Network, the home of
multiplayer online play. The combination of squad objectives and large
player-count will give Resistance 2 the perfect blend of epic battlefield chaos
and intimate close-quarters combat.

America is lost. Four years after the epic conclusion of Resistance 2,
dishonorably discharged Sentinel Joseph Capelli is in hiding from the invading
Chimeran menace with a pocket of survivors, including his new wife and young
son. But when Dr. Fyodor Malikov arrives with a desperate plan, he sets into
motions the events of Resistance 3…
Resistance 3 is created by critically-acclaimed developer Insomniac Games
exclusively for the PlayStation 3 system. In addition to an epic single-player
campaign, Resistance 3 will offer two-player online or split-screen co-op
through the single-player campaign, and a new, focused progression-based
multiplayer experience.
