"Unique but not unique enough."

So this game is a brawler and since you're be spending the vast majority of the game kicking ass its nice to know they did the fighting mechanics well. Well, for the most part the camera will on occasion kill you but apart form that its solid. The ‘combo lab’ is a nice extra too, it allows you to customize your fighting style, in a limited kind of way. The boss battle are ‘unique’ and can be fun once you get your combo's down. Button mashing will only frustrate you in this game. The other part of the gameplay is the platforming, which is forgettable and linear.

The plot of the game is fairly standard, and the game starts with the unique premise of sudden amnesia, because that hasn't been been done to death. You can imagine what happens next, the few plot twists are telegraphed and you won't be surprised. The atmosphere is nice though being some uber futuristic nanny state when bad memories are purged and replaced with happy rainbows and bunny rabbits.

The best part of the game is the memory remixing allowing you to mess around with people's memories, unfortunately you only do this a few times during the game. Which is a shame as its the best part of the game, even if it, like the rest of the game, is linear in itself.

Oh and don't try playing this without a controller, you'll go insane. :)
