I laid-out the gold for this top-end gaming peripheral because I have major
problems getting into my gaming-comfort/concentration zone when TRYING and
HAVING to use a keyboard when playing PC games. Having to lift my arms to get my
hands across to certain keys just kicks me from this zone and I end up feeling
frustrated with and disjointed from the game I'm supposed to be getting immersed
into. Add to that the even more untenable situation of being forced to try and
use WSAD for movement(when I'm used to using a ps3 controller), and movement
becomes a nightmare. I wonder why these PC devs are stuck with an 80s attitude
to how gamers actually play games because they seem to not want to place default
controller settings in their games for those of us whom need them to
game with.
Cue the Razer Orbweaver, which arrived a few days ago from Mightyape. I find
I use it, obviously, with my left hand(mostly with Guild Wars 2 atm). The keys
are mappable and have made playing this game pure bliss for me. I'm so pleased
as well as relieved that I wrote an open letter of thankyou to Razer's CEO on
his FB page thanking him for making this gamepad and explaining why I need it
and what it has done to alleviate my first-world gaming woes.
You still need a mouse in the right hand to move the arrow around in-game.
I might just invest in the equally priced Razer NAGA for MMOGs for that hand,
then I will be unstoppable in whatever game I venture into(I guess).
I recommend this gamepad for real/core-gamers whom need or want a serious
peripheral to implment their game commands thru with. I'm seriously happy with
the pad, with Razer and with Mightyape for once again providing gamers with the
right tools to exercise their craft.
Choice indeed..!
