"Very smooth, difficult to get used to."
I was very impressed with the Nostromo, very smooth and ergonomic to use, though if you're switching over from a normal keyboard it will be awhile before you're back to full functionality when gaming. Only niggle would be the directional keypad, it may be just the games I'm playing but it wasn't as precise as I thought it would be and doesn't have as much grip as it needs.

"Fantastic replacement to my n52 for windows 7"
After using my Belkin Nostramo n52 for years (had 3 that I have worn out),
I have enjoyed using the new Razer.
The buttons are wider than the n52, which is meh. I do miss the slight dip of
the original.
What is good is that they are clearly labelled and have a slightly shorter
action. The rubber texture is going to be handy and the back-lighting is a nice
feature.
Worth waiting for yes.
"Good for games!"
Great for use with games, profiles which you can use for specific applications or just to switch to, also has 8 keymap banks on each profile.
The D-pad can also be set up with 8 buttons as macros or single keypresses, I find it good for controlling media using global hotkeys.
Overall its a great addition to my setup!
"excellent consolidation of input, not necessarily for everyone"
- it was a major effort to get used to using the joystick to move vice the standard WASD.
- i have been able to eliminate all click activation now that I have adapted, noticeably improving my reaction time.

Very unique piece of technology. My partner is a hardcore gamer and he always talked to me about a multifunctional keypad that make it easier for him to play. I saw this one and think to myself, this could be it. Well.. It arrive today thank you Mighty Ape, and the look on my partners face says all…so cooool “He Loooves It”…I can't wait to try it :))
