Description

The development of the Razer Megasoma was driven by a single goal; create a mouse pad that compromises nothing. We combined the best features of a hard and soft mat to create a hybrid of tracking excellence. The result is a pro gamer validated mat that blends the legendary tracking of our hard mats with the comfort and feel of our soft mats.

Constructed from highly durable translucent silicone and accented with a luminous imbedded logo, the Razer Megasoma is the most tracking proficient mouse pad ever created. Nothing compromised; nothing comparable.

Features:

  • Exclusive ambient glow
  • Optimal performance for both laser and optical mice
  • Silicon Mouse Mat for pinpoint precise tracking and optimal grip
  • Extra large mouse mat suited for most gaming environments: 350 X 230 X 2 mm

2 stars "Great packaging, not so great product"

Pretty disappointed with this mousepad. I'm using all Razer products with it – a Lycosa and a DeathAdder (which are perfection), but this pad just doesn't seem to be up to the same standards.

The packaging is absolutely amazing (a good $20 of the price was probably in the packaging alone, ha), but the pad has lots of little bumps on it (particularly around the patterned area), which makes the cursor jump every now and then – and in certain places if I leave my mouse still, the cursor slowly moves across the screen by itself.

Not sure if mine has a manufacturing flaw or what, because all of my other Razer products are just so good. I've also got a Goliathus pad and it's far better – and at half the price – you'd be silly to buy the Megasoma.

1 stars "Awful tracking issue"

I have the same issue as the previous review. When making small acurate movements with my Logitech G5 laser mouse the cursor has a mind of its own making it useless for the purpose it was deleoped for.

5 stars "Don't Listen to the haters"

I purchased this along with the Razer Diamondback 3G mouse for my graphic design work not for gaming. And it far exceeded my expectations after seeing some of the negative comments and reviews about it.

It is hands down the most comfortable/precise mousemat I have ever had the pleasure of using, I feel the ‘roughness’ of the texture of the mat is exaggerated. I have seen it being compared to using sandpaper, obviously those reviewers have never touched sandpaper in their lives.

It is very durable and easy to clean, which makes it perfect for the workplace, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a mat that will deliver on comfort and precision.
