An era was about to end but it was getting a good send off! This memorable concert from 1995 from one of New Zealand’s finest bluesmen was recorded in the latter days of Auckland’s famous “GLUEPOT” venue.
Hammond’s raw and evocative vocals and dynamic performance captured the vitality and excitement of the legendary Gluepot. The live recording was engineered by Paul Crowther and produced by Stuart Pearce. It featured Dennis Ryan (Drums), Neil Hannan (Bass), Stuart Pearce (Keyboards) and Hammond Gamble (Guitar and Vocals).
Sadly the Gluepot is no more but its memory lives on in with this specially priced reissue of “Plugged in and Blue”, to be released in conjunction with the upcoming Dragon 40th Anniversary tour of New Zealand and ‘Gluepot’ reunion show Sat Nov 3 at Auckland Powerstation.
