Description
Welcome to the underground world of street racing. Win races, gain status and eventually become a street legend! Customize your vehicle on the outside and under the hood. Upgrade for maximum boost with suspension, tires, turbo and NOS, and anything else you can buy or win. But choose your races carefully…your opponent could have more under the hood than it seems. And watch out for the cops…they'll be looking to break up the races, and even impound your car or throw you in jail!

"Something missing"
Street racing syndicate isn't a bad game but does miss some vital parts that would really make it shine above the rest. The graphics are definately better than average, and the handling characteristics of the cars do make the game easy too enjoy, but hard when learning too drift etc.
The modification area is similar too other games such as "Need for speed underground" with the use of turbo upgrades, suspension, tyres, engine management systems etc. One very nice touch is that every different exhaust manufacturer has different size piping and muffler setups. Which give different perfromance gains depending on which system you can afford. After every modification you make you can see exactly how much more horsepower and torque gained by putting your can onto a dyno. There are negative points about this game with the modifications though. One is that its very easy to produce power. I found that after 1-2 hours using a standard eclipse, i gained a car with over 600hp running 0-100 mph in under 5 seconds. Another would have to be that it takes along time to unlock other cars, but it doesnt seem worth it when ur running 600hp+ already. The only cause to change is if you love the look of an Mitsi Evolution or Nissan GTR Skyline. Overall though the gameplay is fun, with the added bonus of police, racing for pink slips and the chance to make some serious $$$. The only drawback is that the game simply isn't challenging enough, even through the later stages. But still provides a decent level of modifications to make with plenty of legal & illegal race events to participate in.
