SingStar Anthems reviews

When I see the word “anthems” I expect to see the most awesome list of classics ever. I don't expect to see 10 less songs than usual, and hardly anything I would consider an “anthem”.

The Cher and The Weather Girls are the only anthem-type songs in this game.

This one was really disappointing. If you want anthems then get SingStar Legends.

Anthems? Could they really call this Anthems? More like “Diva” or better still “Shower Songs”
I cant say I am impressed with the latest Singstar offering. Each previous edition was better than the last but Anthems seems to be a step backwards.
For a start it's title does not seem to match the songs, and then its ten songs short of the normal 30 tracks. I guess its not important if I like the actual songs or not, but 3 out of ten there too.
Of course as a singstar nut, Im forced to grin and bear it

On the up side, the menus are good and it again remembers everyones names.

Waiting patiently for Singstar Legends…

It's not always the quantity that matters, and this shows it here, yes there are 10 songs less than the usual and previous Singstar releases, but if you have actually played the game, which I did in the weekend, you will notice most songs are close to 5 minutes long, probably one factor Sony only decided to put on 20 songs on it. This release shows quality, I actually quite enjoy some of the songs being chosen on here! A good buy none the less. :-)

There's a few fun songs on here but is there any reason why we get ten less than usual? And worst of all, for the same price as usual!?!

Special edition? Perhaps the sticker on the cover should read “Limited Edition.”

AT LEAST 30 songs next time please Sony.

How could you call this Anthems? One Queen song!!! the anthem masters!
all these pussy girlie songs whats up with that? and wheres the UB40 and all the other great songs that if you hear it you can't help but sing along?
This isn't really anthems so it gets a low rating…

Yah. Another singstar to add to our collection. But wait take another look 20 songs not 30 whats Sony up to. After playing previous versions it never felt like you had 30 songs on each disc and it wasnt long before eveyone wanted to change to another disc but there was atleast a good few hours of gameplay on each disc.I cannot see the disc lasting as long at partys like previous versions. If you are a singstar must have kinda person get it now. If your a fan but patient, i would recommend waiting till this version comes down to a price that meets the content. Hopefully the next version has the usual 30 songs.
