4 stars "A great mix of old-school songs!"

Singstar 90s has a brilliant mix of music to suit all tastes. There are slow songs and rock tracks to test all your singing styles. I'm loving the trip back down memory lane…
Another great Singstar product that is loads of fun – a must have for the play station collection.

3 stars "ahhhhhh, taste is relative...."

mmmmm, can't seem to get it right singstar. torn between catering to people with good taste and appeasing those raised on utter garbage.

Being a child of the 90s – they were my teen years – a few things are clearly good:

‘Zombie’, ‘Friday I’m In Love' (90s? anyway…), ‘kiss from a rose’, ‘where the wild roses grow’ for both boys and girls and then ‘torn’ and co. specifically for the girls…
Compared with, say, singstar pop etc this is really quite a good line-up. But it being both it is, again, NEITHER..... neither a good selection of more timeless tracks nor the more one-hit wonder crap.
Thus you get totally throwaway tracks alongside classier slices of popsmithery…

What do you do? You say, hey sony, sort it out and in the meantime, c ya.

There is a simple solution of course. Put out two copies – in a territory like New Zealand with a higher collective taste than the pop culture sensibilities of the US and A, as Borat would say maybe only one as the throwaway ones are beneath us frankly – one copie could have tracks from the 90s that compliment the good taste reflecting selection of zombie and the cure and co and combine that with other 90s classics that people actually listen to and might still enjoy…tracks like Fell On Black Days, Jeremy by Pearl Jam, hell even a boyz too men song FFS… THEN you can put your all saints and spice girls and those other turd burgers onto another disc and let those copies infect suspecting and unsuspecting households and ps2s alike… but leave us out of it and stop ruining potentially, and ONLY potentially, good games so consistently.

FFS Sony – put out TWO games.
