Description

The fifth instalment of the perennially successful PS2 series, and the second based on the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN anime, NARUTO Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 takes the player on a heart-pounding adventure from the point of Naruto’s return to Konoha to end of the second Sasuke Rescue Arc. Our hero will find himself once again taking on an ever more devious and powerful succession of enemies, relying on his faithful friends and incredible ninja skills to win the day.

Players who follow the story in Master mode will find the familiar gameplay has been greatly enhanced with new fighting styles for Naruto, brand new 3-man cell gameplay making full use of special abilities, and the ability to boost character stats for the first time as well as add equipment and upgrade Jutsus.

In addition, the all-new fighting system lets players select a partner to join them in battle increasing the chances of victory. Selecting the right partner will give players the chance for special team-based Jutsus and Ougis adding more tactical decisions to the gameplay. And players looking for a change from playing Naruto can even jump in the shoes of other characters to try out the fighting styles of our hero’s equally deadly companions.

With a versus mode containing over 60 playable characters and 24 battle stages, NARUTO Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 boasts the largest content of all the games in the series so far. Players will be able to select from amongst their favourite characters and do battle either against the AI or take on a friend in punishing one-on-one ninja combat.

"The End of an Era but at least they are going out in style!"
There is perhaps nothing more one can say about the Naruto Ultimate Ninja series. There are many fans of this simple but tactically complex fighting game who will be sad to know that this will most likely be the last Playstation 2 release of the series as the Playstation 3 becomes more and more widespread. However once more, if one looks at the numerous clips of the Japanese version of the product on Youtube (Naruto Shippuuden: Narutimate Accel 2), we find an amazingly well polished and fun to play games.

New Features include:

Most of the major characters in the series upgraded to their Shippuuden characters, increasing the already impressive character roster

New Ultimate Jutsus to go with the above to finish off your enemies in style.

Crisp Graphics that show off what the old Playstation 2 can still really do.

Support Characters that not only help you out in battle but in certain instances allow you to perform new ultimate jutsus.

This is a fitting end to an amazing fighting series - know that this game promises to be fun and exciting with an expansion of the plot to about episode 50 of the Shippuuden series allowing for a much more drawn out campaign story than its predecessor.

This should be a great one to play with friends and I for one can't wait to play it.

"This is an Awsome Game BUY NOW......"
This is the end of the era of Naruto 4 (Which I add u have to play first to really get the game), it adds a powerful attack of a better storyline and graphics. Its just simply great..

"Excellent but....."
The game itself is an excellent fighting game to play but was not aware that the audio of the game was in Japanese so that was a surprise for me lol. if you are a fan of the naruto video games you will love this game :)
