5 stars "Must BUY!!!!!"

Amazing game. The story is really good, the characters are really fleshed out, and the graphics are amazing.

In the middle of the game it got a little repetitive but then suddenly the game became fun again because of … I had better not say it might be considered a spoiler.

The end boss was a little lame, but then again it goes with the Indiana Jones style of story that Uncharted is based on.

My first time through took 11 and a half hours on normal. I only found half the medals and unlocked about 1/3 of the unlockables so I will play through again because its that good of a game.

The AI of the enemy's is really good, they flank you, throw grenades to flush you out, fire there gun until its almost empty then when you pop up to shoot them they unload the last two bullets into you before they duck down to reload. I fell for it a couple of times.

My best kill was when I threw a grenade into a group of enemy's and it blew them up sending there bodies flying, then a body when into the boobie trap which in turn killed another guy by impaling him on a spike.

The AI that controlls Elena is great, she doesnt get in your way but when you need her help she is there giving you cover fire!

5 stars "Amaaaazing"

First things first – until I heard about Uncharted 2 I had no idea about this game and only got my PS3 last christmas, so I was a little sceptical about buying this. No idea why I was now!

The gameplay is great and the cover system works very well. Aiming is relatively simple and the plot is great for a game. The voice acting adds a an extra dimension to this game and how addictive it becomes. Jumping from cliffs is relatively easy to pick up although you will take a while to get used to it and may die some times from a bad jump. The only gameplay gripe is that grenades can be a pain and some other things that involve the six axis motion sensitive tasks but it doesn't take away from how good this game is.

The graphics are just awesome. Very crisp and it runs wonderfully, add to this the great cut scenes and it just looks really pretty.

The game does take a little while to load up when you first chuck it in but runs smooth as after that with little to no load time as it loads during the cut scenes which makes it great to play.

The story takes just oer 8 to 9 hours but at the speed it goes is perfect. Cannot wait for this sequel to hit shelves because this is a must have! Bring on Amongst Thieves!

5 stars "BEST GRAPHICS EVER"

This is the single best ps3 game ever made, it has good graphics, story line, characters and you will never be bored as long you have this game in your hands. The graphics are unbelievable and the cut scenes are freaking sweet, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this game and you can't go wrong with it. 10/10 game for me!

Simply one of the best games I ever played or going to play
Graphics that I've never seen b4 and gameplay that will make you stuck to your chair.

This game is really really a ‘must have’ for all PS3 owners.

5 stars "Best platforming game around..."

This game needs no introductions…its practically Indiana Jones except better.

The game has 24 chapters in which you, run and shoot your way to the El Dorado treasure.

Gameplay consists of hanging off ledges, using various weapons such as the Shotgun, pistols, rocket launcher and grenades aplenty in which you fight against pirates and cursed Spanish pirates that resemble zombie-like fiends.
*This does not however, worsen the game at all except add a twist!

Some chapters involve shooting from a jeep while racing in the lush jungle to riding on a jet-ski and shooting pirates off ledges and platforms.

The difficulties are Easy, Medium, Hard and Crushing.

All of these difficulties can be achieved if you use cover to the best of your ability.

This is a must-have game and easily a 9/10. Get this game even if your having doubts as I was…your will be shocked at how good it is.

5 stars "By far my favourite PS3 game!"

The graphics in Uncharted were so real and detailed that my Mum thought I was watching a movie. Everything about Uncharted was done to a high standard with very funny dialogue, great storyline, awesome locations (I love adventures) and cool characters (a range from funny to serious to good to nasty).
This all help make Unchartedthe best PS3 game!

  • Cant wait untill number 2 comes out!

5 stars "Impressive"

Well, when I first tried this game, I thought it was boring, until I knew what the controls are. This game is the best ps3 exclusive game so far that Sony had made, and its a must buy game. Its action packed and good storyline.

4 stars "Great adventure"

A very fun game, the game play is always changing. It's looks amazing at 720p, I found myself stopping for several minutes at a time to admire the views.
It has the same “cover” style combat like Gears of War, which is fun. Simple to play but at the same time challenging.

It also tells an excellent story if you like a good plot in your games. Worth the buy.

5 stars "Adventure is Drake!"

Alright guys, this game deserves game of the year or at least for the PS3. I'm not even sure where to start. The story felt like it came straight from Hollywood with the big budget. Great characters that really draw you in and yet not overly dramatic wannabe superheroes, the lead characters express themselves when they're overcome by enemies. The worlds detail was amazing and I found myself at times stopping to admire the view. Shadows and lighting was perfect especially when in the caves or catacombs using your little wee torch to navigate through them.
Alright so what about the gameplay? Well you can't get bored… They seemed to have incoporated game mechanics from various other games, third person shooters, first person shooters, close combat combos, button combinations during cinematics and puzzle solving and yet no overkill or button bashing. There was a decent amount of weapons and probably just enough ammo at times to kill off the multiple swarms of men hunting you down with their superior AI. I mean there AI was pretty damn good, they'll flank you on both sides or throw a grenade at your feet just to flush you out and most times using weapons that pack more punch than your own.
This game was beautiful in all areas with very little faults if any. I would highly recommend adding this to your collection, even if your a player that plays once and thats it, you will definitely watch the cinematics again.
A movie deal would be sweet.

5 stars "wicked!"

This game is just overly amazing it just blows anything else out of the water, the attention to detail is just everywhere like get nathen to go into a river and his pants/shirt gets wet depeaning on how high the water is.
The guns are enjoyable, the ememies aint dumb they can flank you, take cover, come at you from loads off different places giving you abit off a challenge.
Once you get into the game you wont see any more load screens and this game is beautiful!! The story is like out off a movie really keeps you in the game

Must buy for anyone and everyone!

5 stars "Beautiful fun game!"

This game looks beautiful ! has solid game play! and a great story line always keeps you on your toes!! This game is only possible because of the ps3s power and the space made available to the game developer with Blu Ray!! This is just the start of many great things we are going to see from ps3 over the next few months!

5 stars "Excellence all round"

I loved this game. Gameplay was fun, puzzles were challenging but not impossible and the combat, while nothing new, was immersive and really exciting. My only small problem with the game is how goofy the main character Nathan Drake comes across as. He reminded me of Brendan Fraser. Other than that, this game is a must-buy.

2 stars "Very Disappointing"

This game is a very big disappointment. When I saw the trailers it looked like a great game. It has good points like puzzles and stuff but is extremely boring because of its repetitive action. Its 3–5 shot kill is extremely fake. It has s lot of repetitive people (only 3–4 model types) and it has very bad graphics. I love the very original hand to hand combat system but the lack of stealth is quite disappointing. All up it is a huge disappointment to what I thought it was going to be and I would not recommend this game at all. Only two star because of the puzzles and the hand to hand combat.

3 stars "Average"

Introduction –

You are Nathan Drake, a descendant of Sir Francis Drake and now a modern-day treasure hunter. You've just yanked the coffin of your ancient ancestor from the ocean to find what clues or treasures lie within, when things get a little rough.

Graphics – 9

The graphics are wonderful. You spend most of your time in jungle ruins. Encompassing sights such as stone structures and carvings with vines growing over them along side waterfalls spilling into glistening pools. The are also caverns as well as the depths of ruins. Walls lined with etchings, narrow stone passageways, and underground facilities. The environments are lush and worth staring at. I'm not even sure how much of my game time I actually spent just looking at walls. The characters look good. The faces and expressions are fantastic. The clothes look a little stiff, but the way his feet contour to surfaces is pretty impressive.

Sound – 8

The sound is well done. Nothing sounds wrong, or annoying. The voice acting is perfect in my opinion. I do wish, however, that there were more ambient noises happening. The music is good, it usually fits the moment pretty well.

Gameplay – 4

This game feels like it should have enough going for it. But, it's just not that fun. Its ball-and-chain linear and it's mostly endless running around, or jumping from rock to rock, or more likely, hiding behind something shooting at waves of hired guns, all without much reason. The fighting is very similar to Dead to Rights, but doesn't feel as versatile. You can carry 2 guns; 1 pistol and 1 rifle.You can take cover, aim from cover, blind fire and do a simple roll. All of which regular enemies can do better than you. The AI doesn't have much of a random factor and is almost completely scripted. This leads to most fights being much like Time Crisis, except without the gun controller. Usually, all the guys go to their spot and jump in and out from cover to shoot at you, while you do the same thing. There are a decent choice of guns in the game but unfortunately the physics are broken. Attacks are based in intervals, so that a stream of shots and a shot are the same thing. The pistols can and will always be more effective than other guns. Enemies are boundless and come in endless hordes until the point of irritation. So much so the creators knew and had Nate (main char.) even voice his complaints. And for the most part it felt like I was fighting the same fight over and over. My biggest complaint would be the last boss fight. It was absolutely the worst last boss fight in any game I've ever beaten. It deserves an award for being so bad. To end positively there were moments that were very fun, specifically the jeep sequence near the middle of the game.

Story – 5

Good enough for most of its duration. It gets pretty exciting, but it also gets pretty goofy. It definitely has its moments. Its basically a typical action movie about a treasure hunter. No plot twists you can't really see coming, no real character development. Its on par with a Mario storyline, but it works.

Final Recommendation – 6.5 – Rent it.

I can't understand how everyone gave this game such high ratings. Another friend played the copy I had and disliked the game more than me. He didn't care to even finish the game. But, other friends loved it. Magazines and reviewers loved it. I contemplated that the specific copy I rented was mis-coded in some fashion. This game was not as good as I expected at all. And the last boss fight was the worst in any game I've played. There were times when it was fun, and there were definitely times when it was not. Its most likely something you've already played somewhere else, except with better graphics, and Nathan Drake.

4 stars "Good Game, but I've played better"

This game was very good for a new title, it was very realistic and the graphics were amazing, however it lacked something, and i still can't tell what. Its almost like the Map was… boring.
It was still exciting but the area you played in was just lacking something that made it feel alive.

But this is still a very good game and i do recommend it. The storyline gets a little repetitive but picks up near the end. And the characters have a very realistic look in the way they talk and move. It is a good game, but i've played better.

4 stars "Better to Rent"

This game lacks the replay-ability factor that makes a purchase better than renting it. It's a great game, but it's better to rent it.

1 stars "Great Game for the PS3"

The ‘first’ must have title for PS3…If you love FPS it looks great! But don't expect anything new as shooter games are short and repetitive (recent shooters tend to have great graphics but are disappointingly short…). Amazing graphics and cool environment make it worth getting though.
