5 stars "Best game on ps3 yet"

Seriously this game is brilliant, arrived from mightape today.

There are no loading times, amazing graphics and the experience is fast, changing and extremely addicting.

I have about 30 ps3 games and so far no game comes close.

Naughty Dog A+ … now bring back jak! :D

5 stars "A reason to buy a PS3!"

From the start you can see this is going to be good, the graphics are mind blowing, easily the best looking title on PS3. The gameplay is great with many new and improved features over the first.

The environments and cinematic events look great, and there are way more cutscenes this time, the game has over 25 chapters so it is also longer than the first one, story is really good.

To summarize, if you don't own a PS3 and even slightly interested in this game, get this now! i also highly recommend the first game as well, while it is not vital to have played the first one, you won't get the same experience. If you have the first one and liked it, then go get this from Mighty Ape Now!

5 stars "Everything a video game should be!"

The first Uncharted is still one of my favorite games on any system. It had (and still has) a great treasure hunt story (12–15 hours) and a world full of characters that are truly likable and are brought to life via a great script and voice acting. The gameplay was great fun as it mixed shooting, puzzle solving, and platforming. On top of all that it looked and sounded great!

Uncharted 2, takes all of these elements that made the first game so much fun to play, and made them better! And not just a bit better, alot better. Firstly graphically it looks amazing, easily one of (if not the best) looking game on the PS3. The story is alot of fun and takes you to a wide range of locations, rather than being stuck on an island as in UC1. The puzzles are bigger, though generally not to tricky, but still satisfying which is good as it keep's the pace of the game up.

More character's are introduced, and the voice acting quality is still perfect. On top of a great Single player campaign, the online Multiplayer offers alot more fun and is easy to get into, as well as a co-op mode that you and 2 mates can play – the co-op modes can be pretty challenging so makes for good fun.

Overall, it is a hard to fault this game; the story is well done, gameplay still very fun and easy to get into, the characters likeable and interesting, graphics and sound is some of the best, but most importantly it is alot of FUN!

5 stars "Just Amazing"

Im going to get straight to the point – Uncharted 2 is as close to a perfect game for me as it is ever going to get. The graphics are astounding, the sound is astounding, the combat, gunning, story, and gameplay allround is superb.

This goes straight to the top of the list of all-time favourites and surpasses Resident Evil 4 as my pick for the best game ever made. Xbox 360 owners jealous much? Oh, and the online is also great and I am addicted.

Presentation: 10/10
Graphics: 10/10
Sound: 10/10
Gameplay: 9.5/10
Longevity: 10/10

So overall I think this is surely Game of the Year, it is the first game I have ever shouted out “woah” this many times while playing. It sure gives COD Modern Warfare 2 a lot to live up to. OVERALL 10/10

5 stars "You'll Love It!!!!"

Iv had this game since I bought my PS3 and let it collect dust while I played other games. After reading all the great reviews and the fact it was rated on IGN as the best game of 09 I decided to finally play it.

Well all I can say is I wish I had of played it the minute I got my PS3 set up O_O. Its one amazing game that realy gets you hooked with its great game play, charachters and story. The graphics are great to and Drake is a crack up with the one liners he comes out with. Drake also controls realy well and the aiming is nice to. These are two things that can realy make or break a game for me. There is lots of stuff to get (medals, treasure and bonuses) so there is even a good amount of replay value.

I highly recomend this game to anyone and everyone. Even to the non-hardcore weekend gamers. You'll Love it ^^

Description

In 1292, after spending nearly 20 years in the court of emperor Kublai Khan, Marco Polo departed China with 14 ships filled with over 600 passengers and crew. Eighteen months later, when Marco Polo arrived at his destination, only one ship remained and only 18 passengers survived. Although Marco Polo described every aspect of his adventures in detail, he never revealed what happened to these lost ships, passengers or treasure on board - even on his deathbed.

Drawn in by the potential riches to be found - but most inspired by the intrigue of the historical mystery - Drake embarks on a quest to find the lost fleet. He soon realizes that Marco Polo was hiding a much bigger secret - he had gone on a secret expedition on behalf of the emperor to find the mythical kingdom of Shambhala (otherwise known as Shangri-La) and to recover the legendary Cintamani Stone, the “wish-fulfilling jewel” of Buddhist mythology. The Stone is described by Marco Polo as a massive raw sapphire - if it truly exists, it would be worth billions of dollars today.

This discovery sets Drake on a new course following Marco Polo’s 700-year-old trail through a diverse range of exotic environments to find out if the lost city of Shambhala, rumoured to lie deep in the Himalayas, really exists. This quest also pits him against a new, more formidable adversary who is after the same artefact - a ruthless, rogue paramilitary leader with a private army and a relentless ambition to recover the stone for himself.

Using the Naughty Dog Engine 2.0 to blend together the art of cinema and gaming, the immersive action and storytelling is brought to life through technology only made possible on PLAYSTATION 3. Maximising the CELL processor as animation, physics, sound, and motion / audio capture combine together to enable gamers to become Nathan Drake and immerse themselves in his extraordinary story as they play.

Features:
  • An expanded cast of characters who reflect different facets of Drake’s character, including Chloe Frazer, Drake’s current partner and new romantic interest.
  • Varied and exotic locations - from lush, green swamps and dense urban environments, all the way to the ice and snow of the Himalayas. Open design allows players to take an aggressive or stealthy approach to combat.
  • Free-flowing “traversal gunplay” adds a unique vertical element to familiar cover-based third-person shooting mechanics, allowing the player to engage in combat from any position in the environment - even while climbing and hanging.
  • Introduction of new traversal and free-climbing mechanics allow Drake to navigate through the environments more fluidly and naturally. Gunplay and combat enhancements, including an expanded melee system, and a variety of enemy types with advanced AI routines.
  • High-quality cinematic presentation of scenes, characters and dialogue, all rendered within the Naughty Dog Engine 2.0.
  • Dramatic in-game events that make the player an active participant in the cinematic experience.
  • Full character interaction with dynamic geometry.
  • Uses Naughty Dog Engine 2.0 purpose-built for the PLAYSTATION 3; uses PS3’s technology to hit a turning point in technology innovation by recreating reality and capturing human emotion.
  • No visible loading - a Naughty Dog hallmark - returns along with technology improvements in major game systems such as lighting, shadows, ambient occlusion, animation technology and physics, among many others.
