Description

“No player has elevated the game of golf more than Tiger Woods and we celebrate his return with a game that recreates the atmosphere of the PGA TOUR like never before,” said Executive Producer Mike Taramykin. “Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 continues the long-standing tradition of providing an authentic golf experience that is accessible to skilled and casual gamers alike.”

As you hear the roar of the crowd from the next hole over, can you handle the mounting pressure while you stand over your tournament-winning putt? Expanded crowds surround every hole; adding to the tension and excitement of each shot. A first for the franchise, real-time weather will be reflected on every course, ensuring the in-game experience matches that of the current weather conditions. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 will also feature a television broadcast style presentation, which include instantaneous updates and a new announcer team of ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt and the Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman.

Features:

  • For the first time ever, feel the drama of playing in the U.S. Open, one of golf’s biggest-and toughest-tournaments of the year. Known for its extremely challenging playing conditions, Bethpage Black tests even the best golfers.
  • Carrying a single putter in your bag changes the way you finish each hole. Maintaining complete control on your backswing and follow-through ensures putting accuracy, while a precise read of the green determines your best approach to the cup.
  • Huge galleries, digital leaderboards, and dynamic crowd reactions throughout the course add to the intense experience of real tournament golf.
  • Powered by the Weather Channel, real-time weather now has a major effect on gameplay conditions. If it’s raining in Carmel, CA, then you too can face the challenge of a rain-soaked Pebble Beach.

"Control system sucks"
This the first golf title I have bought for Playstation 3. I am a confirmed PC golf junkie. On the PC I use the real time mouse swing option and I am successful ( mostly using Links 2003 my prefered golf sim.) and obtain under par scores frequently on the most difficult setting.
The problem I find with this title and probably previous Tiger Woods titles on Playstation, is that using a real time swing option the range of movement of the swing lever (default left lever) is way too small to get decent control over both the power and accuracy of the shot. Because of the small range of motion even the smallest descrepancy in direction and power is amplified greatly. I don't know, maybe for seasioned Tiger Woods Playstation afficianados this is not a problem.
As for the rest of the game it does have some good points. Such as non static galleries and foliage that moves in the wind. For a Playstation 3 games the graphics are not that crach hot. Most other EA sports titles have alot more realistic graphics.
Honestly because of the controller issues PS3 and I would also supect XBox 360 are not really suited to golf games. Although I have never tried Nintendo Wii seems like a better bet for serious golf game junkies
