11.54% of people buy Tekken Hybrid and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition ~ PS3.
There is no better collection of the Tekken experience than Tekken Hybrid, with a full-length 3D CG movie, bonus video content, plus the acclaimed classic, Tekken Tag Tournament HD, which of course includes the fan favorite Tekken Bowl
Tekken Hybrid also includes Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue with improved character modeling and costume design that is not included in the arcade version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Features:
This would be worth it if it was just Tekken Tag Tournament HD.
It also includes a prologue (few characters) of Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
TTT2 is looking great though the console version may be a while off.
Not only that, it includes a 3D Tekken CG movie. This is Namco's apology for
the terrible live action film…
A must buy!
Well it doesn't include an entirely new game or an overly amazing movie but this pack is really entertaining for existing Tekken fans.
Tekken Tag in HD proberly won't appeal to people new to the Tekken series. However for those who remember their days grinding away on their ps2 systems will most likely enjoy seeing Tag in HD.
As for the prologue for Tag 2… 4 characters is really limited and if you plan to play anyone outside of demons or schoolgirls you're out of luck. But it does demonstrate the new features that will be in tag 2 like the retsu(rage) system and tag throws and a lot of new possibly combos like four demonic lasers in a single combo.
Finally Blood Vengeance, without spoiling the plot or story it's based between Tekken 5 and 6 with very pretty CGI. But with only a handful of fights across the entire movie proberly won't be enough to keep people who are not fans of Tekkens universe entertained.
With all that being said, I am nuts for Tekken so I am enjoying every minute I play this, for me it is the perfect filler to pass time while I wait for SFxTekken and Tekken Tag 2.
It's awesome being able to play Tekken Tag in HD, and at full arcade speed as well. It's a bit sad that everything comes unlocked in Tekken Tag, but at the same time it's nice to be able to go straight into a game with your favourite characters. The game is basically an HD version of the PS2 game, it even has Tekken Bowl. There's nothing new, except for a handful of trophies. The movie was pretty good, but I think it's only appealing if you're a follower of the story behind the game. Tekken Tag 2 demo is rather boring and crap, only 4 players to chose from. The over-detailed characters leads to hard-to-follow gameplay (devil wings flying all over the place, etc.) Overall, a very good purchase. The ability to play TTT on a PS3 and in HD is worth the price alone in my opinino.
For fans of the Tekken series, Tekken Hybrid offers plenty to interest. The original Tekken Tag Tournament remastered for the PlayStation 3, plus a sneak peak at the upcoming sequel. That alone would be enough, however Namco have also thrown in the full length computer animated feature film Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
More casual fighter fans will find the original Tekken Tag Tournament game is a fun and enjoyable experience, however being ten years old, it doesn't feature a lot of the standards we've now come to expect, like destructible environments or multiple levels of platforms.
Tekken Tag Tournament was one of the great games on ps2 and since then Tekken games haven't been the same. But this time all the old character are back and it comes with a 3D compatible movie, Awesome.
