Description

Get ready for the ultimate racing showdown with Sonic and his SEGA friends! Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is a fast and furious battle to the finish line. In a frantic battle to the checkered flag, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in medieval castle ramparts, lush rain forests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and SEGA.

Fan favorites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will race around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in AiAi's case -- a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium.

4 stars "Silly, but that's why we love it!"

I was looking around for a silly racing game of the likes of Crash Bandicoot, with cute cars and outrageously unrealistic tracks, and I'm not disappointed. I'm glad they made this game since I'm not into highly realistic, super-fast, product placement racing. If you're looking for a game for when you're feel like being silly with friends and family, this is for you.

5 stars "Great fun for all ages"

This game is great fun for all ages. Lots of bright colors and funny characters for the kids with strategy and rivalry for the adults.

4 stars "Great game for the family"

The game plays well and is easy for even a novice to pick up and start playing.

Players can choose from a diverse range of characters including such favourites as Sonic, Shadow, Dr Egg-man, Amigo and Alex the Kidd. There are plenty of beautifully themed stages, some with shortcuts that can make or break anyone brave enough to attempt them.

Weapons and power ups can be picked up along the way including an elusive “All Star” weapon which is unique for each character and serves as a timely equaliser.

The game offers a number of challenges in single player mode including: standard races, elimination races, collect the gems and even eliminate the zombies.

The multilayer games are fun, allowing for up to four people in split screen mode.

My one gripe is with the slow load times, which can be a bit of a adrenalin killer. That said, I would certainly recommend this game for any family with kids under 13.

5 stars "Great game for all family remembers"

Great game for all family remembers that would keep you entertained everyday and with HD visuals not forgetting the environments are beautiful and the character/car models are well-animated with lots of personality. 5 stars for me

1 stars "Not Impressed"

I really enjoy Mario Kart and the playstation copy; Crash Team Racing.

I had purchased Crash Team Racing from the Playstation Store and my mates and I had spent much fun playing it.

Sonic Sega All-Stars is a much less entertaining game. It takes ages to load, is laggy when you have four players. It lacks multiplayer tournament style races.

It does not use the PS3 to its full potential, and has worse gameplay than Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing.
