Having played Prince of Persia since the old days on PC then moving to the PS2 sands of time; which was a big jump for Prince of Persia, Prince of Persia : The Forgotten Sands lives up to the fantastic standard set by its predecessors.
In this game they have also added a new level of gameplay which asks upon the player to step up their gaming reflexes by having to employ quick and swift timing (including several times having to freeze and unfreeze in succession) to be able to sucessfully make their way through the huge maze obstacles that lie between you and your destiny. Along the way you also pick up a few new tricks like manipulating water, using the power of the elements including earth, wind, ice and fire and the ability to dash through the air at your foes at blinding speed.
All in all its not a massive leap forward in terms of the gameplay but parts of the game were excitingly challenging and well worth the purchase. Fans will not be disappointed with this latest installment of Prince of Persia
A definite two thumbs up :)
Haven't finished it yet but after acheiving 41% of the trophies I'm hooked and loving it. Really top quality graphics and not tooo hard when played on the ‘easy’ setting. Lots of running, jumping, timing platform challenges, a few puzzles, some very nice fight moves AND you can trade Uplay points to dress your character as Altair. Of couse picking it up on a Daily Deal just adds to the pleasure. Great game. Great price.
The excitment with this game is just relentless. The graphics simply could not get any better. Incredible gameplay features such as the hack and slash action, acrobatic moves and the magic skills you obtain to get through the game. Once I started playing, I didn't stop until the story was complete. It took me approximately 6–8hrs. The only down side to the game is how rediculessly hard the ‘final climb’ is. This was the only part that had me frustrated but once I got through it, one of the best parts of the game just pushed forward with an army of 100's of skeleton monsters to kill as you make your way up the spiral path. It's sad once you finish the story as it was so awesome but don't worry cause you can continue upgrading your powers in an after story battle in the main menu and test youself even more with your hack and slash abilities. I really hope there will be another Prince of Persia game on ps3 even better than ‘the forgotten sands’.
This is a Simple and Fun game, it goes back to its roots with some similar concepts to the original series, good fun game for any fan.
Really happy with this game, have played the old trilogy on PS2 and this is a
great new generation vision. Key gameplay remains mostly untouched.
Graphics are right up there with the best and I was constantly amazed at how
many enemies were on screen at any one time. Wicked replay value…I mean who
doesnt like running on walls!
