Description
Overlord II is the sequel to the hit warped fantasy action adventure that had players being delightfully despotic. In Overlord II, a new Overlord and a more powerful army of Minions take on an entire empire in a truly epic adventure, inspired by the rise of the Roman Empire. As the Glorious Empire conquers kingdoms and destroys any sign of magic it finds, it’s time to go Minion Maximus and send in the horde.
The Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organised legions of the Glorious Empire. As ever, they’ll do anything and everything the Overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery. They’ve also learn to ride: In Overlord II Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle, making our band of merry fighters faster and fiercer than ever before. "evil?"
Looks nice!, but doesn't play well at all.
Controls are bad, unimaginative level design, and Backtracking, all lead to this game being a failure If you liked the first one a lot, then i would suggest you rent it, but if you didn't, then don't buy it, it adds nothing new, and for new players, does nothing to draw them into the game!

"Could have been a better sequel..."
Overlord 2 follows the sequel to Overlord: Raising Hell. I found this game to be somewhat lacking in ease of game-play in comparison to Raising Hell and the problems that existed in the first game still appear in this one such as minion control and targeting.
I would have thought these problems would have been rectified however instead they have added little tidbits like mounts and becoming a minion which the game could easily do without as it adds little extra to the overall effect. This is definitely a rent to try before you buy. FeedbackIf you think we've made a mistake or omitted details, please send us your feedback. |
