4 stars "BETA looking good"

First off let me just write that it says that the BETA is not how the final game will be played. Improvements will be made…

MAG is huge, with maps holding up to 256 players, the fighting can get intense but not over crowded as you would expect, with players being divided up into platoons and then squads and with no lag even here in NZ

MAG plays like a cross between battlefield 2, with players being able to take on the role of a squad leader, Platoon leader or Commanding officer. Squad leaders are able to set objectives to the rest of the team mates and if team mates go after the objectives, they gain 2× experience. platoon leaders are able to call in support such as ammo drops, air strikes etc. Commanding Officers, can reduce spawn times for the rest of the company as well as using artillery. bombers and more.

MAG has great mic support, with squad leaders, platoon and the CO being able to communicate on a different channel as well as squad leaders being able to talk to their team mates on a different channel.

Players can pick 1 of 3 different factions, RAVEN which makes use of improved technologies, VALOR is an American type faction and the SVER is terrorist type faction. once picked players can pick a voice and a face for their character and add glasses or head gear. once their character is sorted jump into a battle and level up your character and pick upgrades such as better weapons, quicker reload or steadier aim.

MAG does some have some down falls that will hopefully be improved for release, one is the clear white line that is left after firing your weapon, this makes it extremely easy for enemies to find your sniping spot or hidden shooting place, another is the difficult time attackers have in domination. a huge amount of cross squad team work is required to win. finally the wait time to join a game is a drag although it does vary depending on what game type you want to join.

These downfalls are hopefully to be improved when the game comes close to release. MAG does look good, with a huge number of players fighting it out, no lag, good clan and mic support. If you like Modern Warfare 2 or Battlefield 2 then pay close attention to this game.

5 stars "Excellent FPS"

Although frustrating at times, MAG is possibly the most exciting FPS I've ever played, although the graphics are not that great, the game-play is amazing. 256 people all shooting it out in the same game is really intense! If you like FPS,Theres no reason not to buy it!

Whatever your playing style, whether it be hanging back to snipe off the enemy, charging in for a direct assault with your squad-mates, being the team medic or mechanic or even sneaking your way behind enemy lines and taking down the enemy without them ever knowing you were there, This game is for you!
The maps are unbelievably big and are specifically designed so that every player can get the best out of them, no matter what their “style” is.

  • The PMC's-

In MAG there are three seperate PMC's (Private military cooperations) that the player has to chose from to fight in. When you reach the maximum level with that PMC you have the choice to swap to another one. And there is a PMC to suit any player:

Valor Co. : A PMC designed to represent the US Army. Great for COD fans

Raven industries : A high tech PMC with advanced, fururistic weapons

S.V.E.R : A terrorist type PMC for people who want something different

Overall MAG is a great game that deserves far more recognition than it is getting, 256 players is a truly amazing experience that is worth the price tag.

A solid 9/10 game

5 stars "Best FPS ive ever played"

Honestly and I kid you not this is the best fps for online ive ever played it is intense and strategic far ahead of CoD and Halo. Its more realistic and gritty. You need to give the game a chance it will grow on you if you put the hours in as it does take some getting use to at first but you will not regret it! and with the new 2.0 patch it is even better!

256 player battles enough said.

5 stars from me

5 stars "256 players need I say more?"

The overall gameplay is ok. But the share size of any one game is spectacular! Imagine firing at one player then 50 more of the buggers run down over the hill. It will always get me exited!

5 star for me
