Everything that was considered a fault in FFXIII had been changed/removed and
thus made this a great game.
Linearity is no more as you can pick where you want to go and the pace you want
to advance the main story.
If you liked FFXIII you'll love this game and if you disliked FFXIII you should
try FFXIII-2 and see how well Square has improved the game.
I found some great enjoyment in getting to the better part of the end of
“non farmy” game play within a couple of weeks of semi-committed game play.
This included finishing the main storyline, which is by no means the end of the
game. The cinematics are great and the mini games are a lot of fun. The only let
down for me was the slot machines, sadly they just don't -ever- pay out. maybe
there's a moral lesson there. but the Chocobo Races are FUN :-) Game Play Is
fun and Fluid, Monster Allies are varied and just look amazing. Worth
I played ff13 and got a little bored of it and now don't even know where it
is, I still decided to get this game for 2 reasons 1 it was only $25, and
2 I have loved final fantasy for a long time. This game was great it has made
me want to track down my ff13 and give it another try. FF13–2 is great and
I highly recommend it
This game is soo awesome u just have to get it!! Seriously you wont be
Great game, nice game play, and need more open area to explore… Lots new
system… Ha ha.. Good game to play… Love the movie…
You will waste your time if you play this game. Unlike all the other FF
games – this one leaves you hanging after wasting 100+ hours to get to the
end. Do not bother and just watch the cut-scenes on youtube.
Just finished playing it!! The storyline is so amazing! I recommend people
having this! Truly awesome, just awesome! After finishing the game we can still
play the others and finishing off the rest. Always fun to play! FF
Got this as a gift for my brother. I watched him play most of it, and he
really enjoyed it. Good game if you like the other final fantasy games, as this
one takes a long time to get going in terms of gameplay and storyline. If you've
never played a FF game before, id suggest a different one first.
I have loved the final fantasy series since I played final fantasy x on ps2
(still the best in my opinion) and I've played any other final fantasy game
I could my hands on.
I LOVED final fantasy xiii and expected big things from xiii-2 but I was a
little disappointed with it. The story line was confusing as hell and kinda
didn't relate to the xiii story much. If your like me and can't comprehend time
travel and going back and forth again and again then you might struggle with the
storyline like me. I also found Serah annoying, I liked lightning and the
other characters from the previous game a lot more. The game also had strong
points such as being able to explore a lot more than xiii and completing the
story in your own time and also capturing monsters to fight alongside you was
pretty cool. Overall I enjoyed the game once I began to understand what was
actually happening but I didn't enjoy it as much as other final fantasy games
though.. (still better than x-2 though, that was just awful lol)
What I liked the most in FF13 was that it was different. The battle system
was unique and easy for new comers of FF or RPG games. Another reason why it
kept me playing was its colourful graphics, storyline and its beautiful cut
scenes. Since I wanted more, I got FF13–2. Takes 3 years after the first
one and still has that unique gameplay but its a bit different, monsters aren't
present on the map but they randomly pop up like the older classic FF games and
you are accompanied by monsters/pets. Great game if you're into FF13 and
recommended to play that first before you try FF13–2.
This game is definitely a must get. The graphics are amazing and the
cinematics really tie in with the storyline.
great game, think its better than the first part. Graphics are great, cant
wait for final fantasy XIV and at an unbelievably low price, was the best deal
I have seen around from all leading retailers, and its delivered to your door
the next day,now thats what i call service, thanks again Mighty Ape.
Loving this game. Storyline's not the best but gameplay has definitely
improved over the original
Bored and want something to fill in your time but its cheap- This is the game
Loads and plays well…stoked with this purchase..thanks guys
I really enjoyed the new battle system with the monsters as allies feels
like pokemon i wanted to collect them all!
But the story is great not as good as FF-13 but still great, gives you a nice
perspective of the FF-13 universe.
I give it an 8/10, Highly recommend to any FF fan.
As a Final Fantasy series gamer, this is one of the best series I have ever
seen or played!! I love how you can go back into time in the historia crux as
well as experience another ending! I also love the new system where you can
capture monsters after battle and train them to fight with you. I hope a
FFXIII-3 comes out even though it won't be announced.. I've completed the game
but am still trying to complete the game 100%
Amazing game, highly recommended
I really enjoyed this game. It was amazing and can't wait for the next
Thanks Mighty Ape :)
Much btter that FF13, but still not in the same league as FF7, FF8 or FF10…
Worth buying if your a FF fan but otherwise your not missing much
I feel that with this game, SquareEnix have tried to smooth out all of the
gameplay difficulties of Final Fantasy XIII, and it works for the most part.
Fights are smoother and you seem to have more options as opposed to constantly
spamming attack or shifting paradigms to protect yourself.
The storyline is great, and the visuals are stunning (no surprise there). The
characters are quite enjoyable to play (there's no irritating Hope character
this time), and they have built on the idea of the Crystarium, which enables you
to develop your character in a variety of different ways.
I agree with the cameos though, it would have been nice to be able to play
some of the previous characters, at least as temporary party members or
something. Nonetheless, still a five for me.
I prefer the original, but I don't really like non-linear in
It is a rather mediocre sequel, it hardly has anything to do with the
previous characters, and when they do show up, it's as a cameo and they aren't
controllable if they join you. Playing with monsters on your team is pretty
cool, but I would rather of had another fully playable character instead.
Gameplay wise it isn't too bad, it's like the first one with a few adjustments.
Monsters now appear randomly which is annoying compared with the original and
the per-emptive strike has changed and doesn't fully full the stagger meter
either, so easy battles drag out instead.
