Description

Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires is game that brings together the best aspects of the action and strategy genres. In this latest edition, players can experience Ancient China's greatest and most glorious war as an all-powerful lord or as an officer.

As a lord, gamers must think strategically. By deciding when to attack, when to resist invasion, or when to initiate policies, a lord can expand their power and influence. An easy-to-learn "card collecting" system lets players enact policies that will increase their empire's strength, improve the abilities of their forces, and more. The cards that a player receives will depend on the attributes of the officers and their army.

Features:

  • Players also pledge their allegiance to a kingdom to become an officer. As an officer, players can suggest policies in the kingdom's war council, complete missions for rewards, or even turn against their ruler should relations sour.
  • An extensive character editing system with options allows players to customize a warrior's gender, build, skin tone, facial features, voice, clothing, weapon and more.
  • Whomever players choose to be, they can now use mountain ledges and waterways to infiltrate enemy bases and launch surprise attacks on supply depots to change the flow of battle.

5 stars "lots of changes from the last DW Empires"

i've been a long time fan of DW games, DW6 was a let down cos of the cut down on characters and story mode, but DW6:E empire mode make up for it with the edit characters and the choice of ruler and officer mode.

i've finish with both ruler n officer mode, when u start a new game, theres a bonus list, u earn points when u finish the game (800 points each time) one thing to point out, u have to load the finished game to load the points, if not, u wont have any points. and thats the only way to keep ur weapons and horses from previous games. you can choose to get extra money or gems from the bonus list too.

u might want to take over 1/2 or 2/3 of china then start collecting money n gems to upgrade ur weapons and other characters weapons.

also, some of the functions are not shown on screen, like in the older version using up, down, left, right to give army orders.

but over all, i would say the replayable value is much more than DW6 (personally)

5 stars "Better then dynasty warriors 6"

In my honest opinion this game is a lot better then dynasty warriors 6. I was let down when I brought dynasty warriors 6, but the franchise redemed it self
With dw6 empires. At first the amount of options was ,i admit a bit daunting but it didnt take long before I was playing like a pro. Recomended game many many hours of fun and dam near unlimited options

3 stars "Fun... For the first 10-20 minutes"

I love the Dynasty Warrior series, but this game hasnt really lived up to the other games, with only one game mode it gets abit boring. The create a character mode is alright but is lacking any creativity not much to choose from and you end up creating characters that look the same.
The Empire mode is a good idea but is annoying, there isnt much to choose from, you can either going into some ones command or take command. But it can get boring because your really weak and depending on where you are based on the map you might not be able to upgrade your self, leaving you weak against more stronger apponents and you just give up and put the game away.
I would give this game a miss and maybe try the newer Dynasty Warriors game Strikeforce, that might be more worth it

4 stars "VERY VERY FUN"

This is one of the best games you can get, especially if your a fan of the story of the three kingdoms, it's great for 2 players, and equally as fun playing by yourself, would definitely recommend this, can't wait for the 7th one
