An awesome reboot game of a great series. Personally I was a bit apprehensive at first being a fan of the original series from the ps2 but I was won over by the reinterpretation of the game and its main character, Dante.

An awesome reboot game of a great series. Personally I was a bit apprehensive at first being a fan of the original series from the ps2 but I was won over by the reinterpretation of the game and its main character, Dante.
DmC's gameplay stays true to the original titles, while bringing a cinematic story on the level to be expected by Ninja Theory. Previous Ninja Theory games seem to have made an impact on Capcom's decisions with the combat system.
DmC plays like just about any Devil May Cry game, with about as many different weapons and combos with familiar weapons and a couple of new ones.
DmC's story sometimes leaves a little to be desired, but the overall cinematic quality makes the cutscenes enjoyable, and thankfully most of them are quite short so as not to interrupt gameplay too much.
While Dante's new design and personality has been debated, he still keeps a good amount of classic Dante's attitude and you can see that this Dante is well on the road to becoming the Dante everybody knows and loves.
DmC plays quite nicely and the combat system is intuitive for the most part, I've had times where I've tried to double-jump while using an angel weapon and ended up gliding around instead and I've often mixed up the two grapple-hooks, but these are minor issues for an overall decent combat system. It's easy to pull off more complicated combos thanks to cues placed in mid-combo. This helps you pull off the right combo at the right time and helps avoid a messy mistake or two.
Overall, DmC is a pretty decent game and well worth playing. With the new cinematic quality and enough collectibles to make a hoarder look normal, you'll be playing this one for a while.
Like most i was worried about a reboot of Devil may Cry, but after seeing the opening videos and a minute into finally controlling Dante i knew this was going to be a awesome game. Great game mechanics, breath taking level design on the strange and wicked side. With plenty of secrets to unlock and find, i've found myself playing through this game several times already. A definite addition to new DMC players and Old dmc veterans alike.
Detailing Dante's early years and set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC Devil May Cry will retain the stylish action, fluid combat and self-assured protagonist that have defined the iconic series but inject a more brutal and visceral edge
The Dante of DmC is a young man who has no respect for authority or society in general. Dante knows that he is not human, but also that he is not like the demons that have tormented him throughout his life. Caught between worlds, he feels like an outcast.
He is now discovering and coming to terms with what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel. This split personality has a real impact on gameplay with Dante being able to call upon angel and demon abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly to dramatically affect both combat and movement.
For DmC Capcom has teamed up with UK development studio, Ninja Theory, renown for delivering action titles with compelling characters and narrative coupled with high production values. The combination of Ninja Theory's expertise and Capcom's unrivalled heritage in producing combat focused action titles will ensure that this latest addition to the multi-million selling series will remain true to the Devil May Cry DNA so cherished by the fans, while bringing a new level of cinematic quality to the title.
