5 stars "If you want to make enemies, try and change something."

is a prequel to the original Deus Ex which was released in June, 2000. It follows Sarif Industries security officer Adam Jensen after an attack on his firm. Severely injured, Jensen is kept alive through controversial human augmentation.

Set in the sprawling neonscape of 2027 Detroit, Deus Ex: Human Revolution gives you control of Jensen as he works to understand the conspiracies that surround him. Human Revolution fuses traditional first-person shooting with role-playing mechanics, giving you the ability to customize Jensen's abilities and tackle conflicts in the way that suits you. If you want to avoid combat all together, you can sneak your way through the battlefield. If you want to take control of the enemy's sentry turrets, you can hack into them. The choice is yours.

Because Adam Jensen has a variety of powerful abilities at his disposal, including cloaking, enhanced strength, and more, his actions are governed by a power gauge. The gauge is split into multiple segments that recharge automatically when Jensen remains neutral. If you deplete an entire segment, you'll have to recharge that segment later, forcing you to be careful of overusing Jensen's abilities.

5 stars "An awesome first person shooter/rpg"

When I first heard about the amount of critical acclaim this game received, I was really keen on buying this game. When I finally got my hands on it, I was not disappointed at all. It has great controls, wide variety of weapons to use, top notch graphics, an intriguing story, and a well constructed dystopian cyber punk setting with very strong influences from movies like Blade Runner.

The gameplay is pretty familiar to the Mass Effect series where it is a mixture of first person shooter, rpg, open world exploration, and dialogue options that can affect the flow of the story.

A highly recommendable game, definitely on my top list.

5 stars "One of the BEST GAMES OF 2011 for me"

A great game that kept me interested for hours to the point of completion. An incredible action-RPG, it also has a FPS style of combat or if you like, you can stealth all the way through game like Splinter Cell, if you want.

I love the detective work you have to do with the excellent side stories and thought provoking issues that can affect the outcome of your story depending on your decisions.

An amazing experience that really simulates a world that you can change… or destroy!

Review by IGN
“…While Deus Ex: Human Revolution can't be the revelation that Deus Ex was in 2000, it's an achievement nonetheless. It's a visionary, considered piece of work, and while my thoughts drift to the things that could have been and the compromises made due to the possibilities of video games in 2011, they're just as quick to consider playing through it again. Human Revolution is a smart, rewarding piece of transhumanist noir that does justice not just to Deus Ex, but to the fiction that inspired it.”

IGN RATINGS FOR DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION (PS3)
8.5 Presentation
Human Revolution's interface is well-integrated and unobtrusive, but the waypoint system leaves something to be desired. The story holds together well though, and moves along without stumbling.
8.5 Graphics
From a technological standpoint, Human Revolution isn't doing anything special graphically. But it has some of the best production design and art of any game this year. Or last year.
9.0 Sound
Some awkward voice acting notwithstanding, Deus Ex's sound design is excellent, and the soundtrack is phenomenal.
9.0 Gameplay
Human Revolution establishes a gameplay vocabulary and rewards you for learning (and abusing) it. It's insanely flexible – save for a few points where it isn't at all.
10 Lasting Appeal
Practically demanding multiple playthroughs, Human Revolution will take you anywhere from 25 to 40 hours on your initial run.
