5 stars "A well thought-out game that works !"

It works smoothly, plays logically, has realistic and well-researched historical content. Battle landscapes are varied and the combat effects are very good. Interest, and the ongoing challenges tend to keep me up late at night !

5 stars "brilliant game"

When I first played empire total war I was dazzled. Now Napoleon;s out and I happily purchased it.
The gameplay is very similar to empire but greatly improved, eg. the terrain is more tactical, the troops are more realisticly behaved (some troops desert, get sick, etc) and basically much more strategy is involved (flanking, hills, rivers, etc).
The graphics are much more beautiful and a very decent computer is required to play this without some lag.
The campaign is splendid and makes you feel more involved. Although I havent tried multiplayer I'm sure it will be awsome. The naval battles are also much better, it is easier to control and wind, sails, tide, timing will affect it much greater.
Overall it is a great game (very addictive), very similar to empire but greatly improved and polished. The downsides are the learning curve is high, the AI is quite passive and it requires steam. I would suggest this to rts fans, history lovers and anyone who has spare time to learn and play this game.
9.4/10

3 stars "Why do games require steam?"

This game runs along the same lines as empire total war. Gameplay is good. What is really sad about this game is that it requires steam to play, which in my opinion for a mostly single player game is stupid.

4 stars "Go you Napo boy ~!! "

Well haven't got too much to say.

Once played Empire Total War, the feel is pretty much the same. Just that now, the setting has slightly progressed and you're Napoleon himself.

Campaign fairly great to play, but then again sometimes it has its flaws here and there.

Once you have finished campaign, then there's the replayability and also the multiplayer.

But that's pretty much it.

Graphics, gameplay and sound – Same as Empires Total War just that, different skin for units and different types of unit that you may employ. Other than that, its as it is.

:) great game on the buck.

4 stars "Another great sequel "

If you love the other total war games then this is a must. Very similar type of game to the others but stepped up another notch

4 stars "True to its era and entertaining."

Another total war game that hits the mark and makes great use of its source material and the era in which it is set.

Highly strategic battles and gorgeous visuals, not to mention great sound, mixed together to make an entertaining and fun strategy game.

There's just something about sitting the camera behind your enemies infantry and watching them get blown to pieces by your cannons.

"Fantastic game."

I was thinking about upgrading my computer. This game made up my mind for me. I now have 3×core processor 2gig hard drive and this game runs like a dream.
If I had to complain about anything it would be having to log into Steam to play it. I've yet to workout how to play it off line. The other thing is the ground shaking effect when canon balls hit the ground, very distracting. For this reason I keep a fair distance with the zoom. Otherwise a brilliant game.

4 stars "Out standing "

For those who played the TW series. I do recommend Napoleon TW if you are planning to buy this game. It is said what said to be…i m impressed with the battlefield effect. It actually makes the game more intensive. Its got the realistic battlefield feeling to it. But the only let down is that............the map is just not as big as Empire TW which is a let down. So 4 star

3 stars "Requires a powerful system!"

Napoleon Total War looked like a fantastic game to me. I had Medieval Total War 2 and that was very good, so I was expecting a lot. And I almost got it, Napoleon would be a fantastic game, to anyone who had a processor fast enough, and enough RAM because of the amount of people used in the battles, the game does lag quite badly.

So if you are going to buy this game, make sure your computer is well, well above the system requirements.

4 stars "Great (but unoriginal) game"

This game is very fun but very similar to Empire Total War. The new story element of it I really enjoy and is one of the few things that separates it from Empire Total War. It is definitely the superior game (particularly because of the improved and more aggressive AI) but if you already own Empire Total War you are probably better off getting these improvements from mods such as Darth Mod.
Some of the new features, such as being able to liberate regions and the extra diplomatic options, have made me very excited for Shogun 2. Pretty good value for money if you don't already own Empire.

5 stars "Awesomely dangerous"

This product is a great idea. The best part about the free shipping is that it is now actually practical to buy the single cheap deals.

The worst thing about it is that you do, buy all the cheap single deals lol.

"Couldn't get it to run."

Bought it as a present for my father. After many attempts I couldn't get it to run on his setup. His pc did surpass the minimum specs. Just one of those things I guess. Lucky it was so cheap :)

5 stars "Great installment in a unique strategy series"

A great improvement over previous installments in the series. The campaign map is terrific and the AI in battle is considerably better. The computer provides a serious challenge in higher difficulties too. The only downside is the lack of playable factions in the campaign. Definately worth the purchase.

4 stars "Brilliantly conceived and implemented"

Oh wow indeed. The Napoleonic Wars are an anachronism to most computer gamers, but to true war and old-school wargame buffs, they're deeply inriguing. And here in this game you get to play out your generalship of troops of the era not just the fields of Europe and the chilly forests of Russia, but in the jungle and desert of Africa as well. The guys who put this together did their research. This is deeply accurate. My troops still run away more than I'd like, but I'm getting the hang of it. Truly beautiful for the part time gamer and the deeply intense old-school strategist.

5 stars "I'm wishing my life away..."

When I first played Empire Total War I thought how good it would be to have a Napoleonic version of this game.
All I have to do is wait until Febuary 2010 =(

CANT WAIT!!!
