5 stars "Really Can't Wait!"

I played the demo of this last year and I thought it was awesome! The third installment of the Sims saga is more complex than the previous two, since you can customize basically everything. The graphics and gameplay are a lot better than the previous two games.

In this Sims, you can free roam outside your property (finally!) Apparently, while you're walking around on the street or the neighbourhood, you can watch other people get married, have kids or even die.

And when you get the central town, you can make or break relationships with other random people around.

Now while you're making your sim, you can change the muscle tone, body weight and make a HUGE range of faces, making your sim even more unique. You can get a job from a wider range of choices and for the first time on the non-PC game, you can have kids and have a family.

The Sims 3 promises to recharge and reinvent the way The Sims is played, and that's something that will affect millions upon millions of fans around the world.

5 stars "So excited my brain could explode!"

I played a demo at a local store on the weekend and I must say it was every bit as awesome as I expected. The graphics are great but it will run on a normal computer (or even a mac!) without problems, or so they tell us.
The seamless neighbourhood is great! Being a Sims fanatic I've become familiar with the load screens and, although they're great if you really need a cuppa and a sandwich, I'm pleased that they've gone.
The only thing that annoyed me was that, even though you can track your sims as they go to work etc, you can't see them working. I realise that if they had put that feature in the game would probably be a monster, however, so it's probably a good thing.
Can't wait til Friday so I can start playing!

I am getting the sims 3 with my christmas money and I have spent alot of money on trademe upgrading my computer with new graphics cards and ram and I have been waiting ever since the 18th of January, and I really can't wait only 6 days now and I recomend the sims 3 for all!!!

4 stars "Amazing Game Play"

The game play provided by Sims 3 is amazing. You can now assign traits to your Sim. And whilst its tempting to make them into a complete saint, or complete sinner, you can throw an oddball trait in there and it opens up so many more opportunities for lifetime aspiration points.

Also improved over Sims 2 is the moodlets, which are little things which make your sim happy and have a lasting effect on your sims mood for the set amount of time shown in the moodlet. These moodlets can be positive or negative.

Your lifetime aspirations are no longer randomly assigned a la Sims 2. Depending on which traits you select you can select a related lifetime aspiration.

The only thing that isnt great is the neighbourhood. You cannot place lots anywhere, the locations of lots are designated for you. But aside from the neighbourhood, the levels of customisation are totally amazing. You can change hair colour, clothes, furniture, carpet, walls, flooring. Everything can be customised to match your decor!

Overall its amazing game and with 3 days of game time under my belt, I can see me spending a lot of time playing this and discovering the depths to which this game can go!

5 stars "Well Worth The Wait."

The Sims 3 is a fun and easy game to play even if your new to playing sims. The Sims 3 gives you the choice to create any person wether its a celebrity, friend , yourself or family member. The game provides a whole new world of posibilities. You can now drive, bike or walk any where in the town without one bit of loading. Every sim is diffrent with their new personality traits.
You could be a great cook or even an artist some sims may be useless at everything or hate people and the outdoors. You can also visit the people next door or even the people on the other side of the town. Unlike sims 2 or 1 you don't just wait for ages untill your sims come home from work or school because you go with them and choose how you want them to behave. The graghics are 10 times better with the realistic water and people. You can make videos or stories and upload them to the sims 3 exchange for the world to see!
In buy/build mode you can customize any object with patterns and colours. If you buy the collector's edition you get a free sims 3 beanie not to mention the cool sports car for your sims to drive around in and a 2gb flash drive in the shape of a plumbob, theres also a few things in the flash drive for you to discover.
The Sims 3 is a whole new experience from the other sims games and is a bundle of fun!
I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 it really is worth it.

4 stars "An awesome game - can't wait for the patch though!"

I've been hanging out for this game since last year, and finally got organised and had it delivered on Wednesday. I'm a committed Sims addict – in fact the amount of money I have probably spent with EA could of paid for a house deposit.

I'm really excited about the new gameplay – it takes a bit of getting used to, and the realistic faces were a bit disturbing at first – but I love how you can really get down to customising how they look and creating ‘real’ people. The interactions are a lot more fun and I love the seamless option of jumping on the map and sending my sim-kids to the park to play.

The only downside – occasionally the game crashes; and I have one family who are stuck – the mum taught the toddler to talk and now neither of them can move – time goes by; and he's wet his nappies and she's hungry; but nothing I can do can get them out of their fixed positions. By searching google I see I'm not the only one who has had problems – which is a bit disapointing – to fork out $120 with a big bug like that – and thats why they're only getting a ‘good’ rating at this stage.

Bring on the patch EA – the longer you leave it the more fans you may lose.

4 stars "Rather lovely"

This was a great buy I love the Sims series and they did it again with there new create-a-sim features this makes making people a whole lot different, and the build mode is even more superb then ever! one thing that makes a big big change for me is putting objects diagonal it sounds small but really makes it easier to build my home where our TV has been put diagonal. The new features to live mode makes life in the sims more like a life how you can go to the library in an instant whether walking, driving or riding, and the way your sims get more opportunities making it feel like theres a community leading there life a bit more. These new ways of playing The Sims makes it more realistic which I simply love in games. Thanks for the beanie Mighty ape can't wait for the ‘Borderlands’ hat! (Yeah and the game.)

4 stars "Really good game"

This is a really good game to play, well worth buying, only one thing that its lacking, maybe this will be a follow up......Why can't you play it online with people around the world taking up people in the same town, would be like a virtual world competing against other people in life over the internet.

2 stars "Not what I expected!"

I brought this game expecting it to be far superior to the previous games, and was excited! Previous to TS3 I was a Sims addict! I found this game to be a lot slower, but that's probably just my computer. However the game seemed a lot more boring than The Sims 2, and I felt there were too many personalisation options to choose from which left me feeling confused and in the end I just haven't bothered playing the game. The Sims Medieval is a much better game, and is more fun.

5 stars "Must have"

The Sims franchise just keeps getting better. This is so addictive I wish I could play all day every day. There is more control of creating your Sim they can be skinny or super fat or somewhere in between & being able to change hair & clothing colors to any color you could imagine is so awesome. Would recommend!!!!

5 stars "Wow!! This blew me away"

The Sims 3 is just awesome!!! My boyfriend bought it and I played it on his laptop and its just amazing!! I went to play The Sims 2 and its just not the same. I own a imac, but don't have Leopard so I can't actually play it sad face, but as soon as I get it I'll buy this game!!

I just love the new graphics and the fact that the Sims can roam around town. And the new skills like fishing are just fantastic. Its like a more personal game now, and the Sims can do such a variety of things.

5 stars "Insane!"

This game is just nuts! Its take the level of customisation available to an almost infinant level! I was trying to create a sim to look like myself and the amount of options available to you ment I was there for several hours tweeking it!

Tuns of new stuff, wickid graphics and the game play is just a a far superior level.

All and all this game is a must have. If you even remotely liked any of the previous sims or any other strategy games, you will love the complexity of this gme!

5 stars "Sims 3 is Elite!"

Awesome Game! If you haven't really played Sims before, this really is an advertiser! Awesome graphics, such freedom, much more like reality and so much to think about – and that's just dealing with one person in the household!

But of course, now days every game is about graphics. If you don't have at least a 256mb graphics card, you really wouldn't get much out of it – I know that from Sims 2 with our old PC, no fun at all if it takes 5 minutes to load the town, and lags every few seconds. No fun at all!

This is highly addictive, so please be prepared! Haha!

Buy the game; you'll love it! – P.S – No animals in this one, so far as I have seen. Hopefully there will be a mod (modification) or expansion to get them because I can imagine if there were; it would make it even more the better!

10/10 (Get the collectors addition as the beanie is kewl, and the flash drive is extremely handy.)

Get it today!

1 stars "Fail"

I'm sure this game would be awesome if I could get it to install. Having the same Cyclic Redundancy Check the rest of the world is having. $120 and all I have to show for it is a beanie and an exceptionally awesome plumb bob flash drive.
Very disappointing as I was so looking forward to playing this.
