I've been playing Morrowind for 5 years and have never tired of it. Everything about it is rich and detailed from the massive map and it's varied towns and landscapes to the characters, some you come to love and some you just want to give them the biffo (like Fargoth and ‘Uncle Crassius’). The sheer size of the map and the countless caves and shrines provide a nice change and a chance to hone skills outside of the quests (in which there are TONS!). The quests are varied as different factions and guilds have different quests, whether it be Mage's Guild or Thieve's Guild or the assasins guild the Morag Tong. The graphics are still pretty good for an old game but the huge amount of graphics mods available enrich the game even more to bring it up to the standards of recently released games.
This edition comes with a little 2" pewter figure of an Ordinator from the Dark Elven Temple, and despite its small size it's full of detail. Also included is the game soundtrack with 15 tracks from the game (this isn't the special edition soundtrack which has 21 tracks), ‘The Art of Morrwind’ book full of concept sketches and paintings of characters, and a map of Vvardenfell that comes standard with the game.
A great collectors item for the greatest RPG of all time.
Considering that I loved my budget copy of Morrowind to death (literally, the disk snapped!), there is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best deals out there. The charm of the game still holds strong, and skins and mods are freely available to improve the somewhat archaic graphics.
Played the standard version a few years ago and had such a great time playing it that when I saw this collectors edition available I just had to have it.
This is one of the most epic games i have ever played. Infact, it may be the game that hooked me into RPG games.
A MUST have game! TY Mighty Ape!
