Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Gold Edition (includes 'Wild' expansion)

I spent countless hours playing this game. Its so addicting. Riding your own coasters is fantastic and the 2 in 1 pack is a bonus as well. Very exciting to be riding roller coasters in your own room. A must have.

This game is great, such a massive improvement especially on the graphics from roller coaster tycoon 2. The tutorials included with the game are a must for the understanding and manipulating gameplay. The soaked! expansion pack adds heaps of cool features and new scenarios and is a nice addition to the original. You can acheive more control and manipulation from roller coaster tycoon 3 than any of the other games, and this element is one that hooks me to the game. There is nothing better than being able to control nearly every little detail of your park. Works best on ATI Radeon video cards. Recommended.

I can not personally make comment on the actual game but my son is waaaay happy and hasn't done any home work or chores for just about a month…

I got this for our 8 and 11 year old kids, after a thorough search for something non-combative. It works a treat. The kids love it. They get to build their ultimate theme-park and to “experience” the rides. All our kids get something out of it; one loves the variation in play modes, planning ahead, and taking on the challenge of building a commercial enterprise; one loves the cool rides and experiencing them, and another loves trying wacky and contrasting things to see what happens (like having a wildlife safari where all the animals mingle and eat each other). The game installs easily, and no disk is required to play each time – which makes things easy. Small glitch in installing the “Wild!” add-on – it asks if you have the “waterpark” addon. That's puzzling for a moment cause of course you don't have it – you're trying to install the ‘wild’ addon. So answer ‘no’, and it moves on to ask it you have the “wild” add on. Answer ‘yes’ and it installs.

I bought this game because I remember playing it as a kid. It turns out that this copy is a little more advanced than my original copy!
The 3D effects and the amount of control one has in building a successful theme park is extraordinary.
Even people like me who don't play games regularly could enjoy this – it's easy to get the hang of, almost everything is customisable, and it's a lot of fun! :)
