FIFA 09 (Value Game) reviews

Very worthy upgrade of fifa 08, however the fact it lacks NG (next gen) gameplay somewhat makes it more like 08 than I would like it to be. There are bugs, oh yes, but if you get used to the odd mishap it is well worth the money. I have now almost played 800 offline games and I will certainly play more. Manager mode is much the same as 08, however the new graphics make the cut scenes look splendid. There are also many unofficial mods that are available to make the game even more in depth than it already is. The online interface has been completely re-made, and whether or not you like it is more down to personal taste rather than how it performs. The Online interface now resembles the ps3/360 version, but does not perform like they do.

Summary: If this is your first fifa game, I would recommend it over previous versions as the graphics are very good, however, online play is rather buggy, and although EA tries to fix this with 2 patches, several bugs still remain. If you already have 08 or 07, download the demo before making the final desicion as to whether or not you should buy it.

Although this is a reat follow up to the original games in the series with brilliant new graphics the problem is in the controls. Although you have the choice to play with keyboard and mouse or just mouse, both options seem difficult. I would reccommend using a gamepad or xbox 360 controller to make it easier.
