Apart from one or two details (Most of which are toggleable from the in-game menu), you'd never be able to tell this was a game released on consoles as well. It doesn't try to dumb things down for the lowest common denominator like many cross-platform releases do.
It greatly rewards exploration, and lateral thinking. Each situation has many ways to approach it. It's not simply a choice of “stealthy” or “guns blazing”. Your choice of augmentations will open up new tactics and new paths you can take to meet your objectives.
As a fan of the original Deus Ex, and as a completely jaded cynic, I can safely say after 2 weeks with this game that I feel it's hit the mark. The excitement hasn't worn off, and the game still feels great. It's everything the fans looked for in a sequel to Deus Ex, and shows a tremendous amount of respect for the source material.
