"Great!"

Great sequel to the original company of heroes with some good additions, however the large amount of DLC takes away from the game

"Lives up to the hype. Enjoy it far more than the first!"

Don't listen to the reviews on this game too much. Seems to be mostly negative reviews for the campaign. Yes the story is a bit average, but the missions themselves are great fun. As for multiplayer, its the most fun I've had playing an rts for a long long time. Really recommend this game to any rts fan.

"Could have been an all time great"

This game is well made the graphics are great but it falls flat on its face as far as realistic battles go. The AI is predictable and only proves a challenge at higher difficulty levels ( whereby it just cheats its ass off for damage resistance / resource bonus ) The use of a commander style system doesn't really gel well with doctrines in use during WW2, where as the original Company Of Heroes, managed to do this with fairly well balanced game play. Overall the game is worth the play , but i would suggest waiting until an all inclusive DLC purchase pack is out. Oh and the DVD's does have the game on it but the method of loading from their is a pain in the butt.

"Amazing graphics but doesn't hold my attention"

This product is not compatible with having teamviewer installed which made for a frustrating beginning. Closing teamviewer solves but is annoying as I have to remember starting it up again. The game is amazing to look at but so far it doesn't have me hooked.

"Clarifiction"
4 stars"

Ignore what the reviewer “roger” said. Yes this game uses steam, but if you live anywhere that isn't a third world country, being connected to the internet to play is not an issue. Steam has been around for nearly 10 years and I have never once not been able to log in. Plus you can log on once, and then set it to off-line mode.

One other thing to note is that steam does nto require you to download the entire game, rather it reads the disks and takes the data off them, then updates the game which may only be a few hundred MB. Steam simply says “downloading” but anyone with an ounce of computer knowledge will look at the download tab and realise that their internet can't download at 50–100 megabytes a second – which means that steam is just getting the data off the disc not actually downloading it and using up your bandwidth.

"Things you should know before you buy"

Mighty Ape: Great. This game: uses Steam. If you don't know what Steam is … you don't want to. You need Steam's permission to install this game. You need Steam's permission EACH TIME YOU WANT TO PLAY this game. You can't play offline (you NEED the internet connected). The supplied disks don't even seem to have the game on them! During installation, you are forced to have a Steam account. Steam wanted to download more than 11,500MB … eleven and a half THOUSAND megabytes. What the hell- I paid for disks, not some $H!±box Steam download. The manual says you can activate box product within Steam. BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO DO >11GB OF DOWNLOAD. Steam is the worst thing to ever happen to PC games … if I'd known COH-2 required Steam, I'd never have bought it.
