Pros:
*Uses the best game engine for an RTS game out! (My opinion)
*Amazing water effects
*Brings back the good old days of twisted time and teleportation
*Online Co-op on missions
*Build most buildings on water
*Plus more
Cons:
(Only a few cons but its still an awesome game)
*The harvesters do not collect from Gold/Gems scattered around the map,
instead you place a refinery infront of a mine and in and out it goes.
*The boundry only grows bigger if you place an outpost or an mvc to
extend it.
Some people would have different opinions.
After playing the demo I wasn't sure I wanted this game despite loving Red Alert & Red Alert 2. This one takes a bit of getting used to, but is fantastic once you know what your doing.
Not the best, gameplay is lacking a bit and limited upgrades etc. In my opinion if you want a better RTS your better to spend your money on a game like Age of Empires 3.
If you like RTS games then this is one of the best, highly recommended.
The game play and interaction with the Hollywood cast makes it very interesting. The traditional skermish is there and selecting from three war efforts, The US, The Russians and the Japanese with all sorts of amazing weapons makes game play really cool. The graphics are what you would expert from the makers of this game, top notch. It is one of those games you keep playing and replaying just to try new strategies and try out new weapons in more interesting ways. Highly recommended.
I personally own and play at least once every day the original PS1 Red Alert
game and each time another one to the series comes out I am down first in line
at the store. Over the years i have seen the games become more strategic,
AI's harder to beat and the graphics are almost perfect-o. This C&C would
have to be one of the most funnest of them all, the only thing it lacks is a bit
of difficulty. It is quite easy to beat the AI and barely gives you any
challenge at all. But overall it is quite a fun one to play. I can't wait for
many more year to come of C&C.
5/5
You may think you know about the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, but you don't. In Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3's alternate history, it's the Allies launching a surprise attack on Hawaii, a longtime stronghold of the Empire of the Rising Sun, and that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Red Alert 3 puts tongue firmly in cheek and dreams up a bizarre world where armored bears parachute from the sky, transformable Japanese mecha wreak havoc, and Mount Rushmore is actually a secret military facility where Honest Abe's head shoots deadly laser beams out of his eyes.
When installing the game with the CD key inside the case it says its invalid.
Have emailed Mighty Ape, still waiting for a response 3 days later.
Its great when you cant even install a game let alone play it, here I was thinking its 2010, not 1995.
Not a huge fan of user reviews so here we go, RE3 is a great game to be sure, but at the end of the day it doesn't do anything to differentiate itself from any other RTS in the genre. So if you're a huge C&C fan, go ahead and give it a whirl but otherwise stick to more top end RTS games
Running a hexicore, 8GBRAM, ATI HD5850, 37"LCDTV, via HDMI, The game? lovin it, my son is lovin it, the graphics like others have said in reviews, stunning, water reflections, explosions all amazing stuff.
This game has some of the best graphics for a rts game. Finally the AI is challenging (enemy or ally). C & C red alert 3 has a fun fast paced gameplay not like other strategy games which takes hours just to finish 1 game. The acting is not bad with many hollywood actors in it. The campaign story is sort of predictable but still is a great story. Online mode is really fun (although i get owned).
in conclusion I have to say red alert 3 is one of the best strategy games I've played and I recommend you put it on highest graphics. 10/10
Finally AI that thinks and is a challenge. The graphic are some of the best I have seen in a while. Weapon reflection in water is brilliant. Highly recommeneded for those new to the C&C genre or those DIE HARD FANS who have every copy..........:) Campaigns are some what short and predictable but that is what we have come to like.
Not much of a writer so I'm not sure how to express how satisfied I'm with this game – (playing the beta that is).
Usually easy to grumble and nitpick at a bad game, but I'm lost for words at how great RA3 plays and feels.
The gameplay doesn't seem as fast as other c&c games – I'm no pro but that's how it felt to me.
Ordered the premier edition :) highly recommended for all!
I've had the beta a month now and absolutely love it. The screenshots posted on here don't do the game justice either – they're juicy and optimized to run on any machine.
100% recommend this game to any RTS lover… it's like the perfect mix between Red Alert 2 and Warcraft 3.
I have played the beta as well and it is really good. All three sides feel different and building on water is really cool. Not as much tank rushing which is good as well. Will be getting this
Well well well. I have played the beta of Red Alert 3 which includes online multiplayer play with full access to three factions; the Soviets, Allies, and The Empire of the Rising Sun. You may play on two of the new maps, “Cabana Republic” and “Roundhouse Redux,” in two or four player games (although note that AI opponents are disabled). Some parts of the current beta user interface may reference “ranked” and “unranked” games, but all of the beta multiplayer games are unranked.
Can not wait for the release!
